GRRR The Frustation - October

UG use to be free did it not I have went there several time and looked stuff up. I always subscribe to MIke.

Columbus Day is a federal holiday so that may make the crowds go up a little. Also I think that is Canada's Thanksgiving so that may effect it as well. But Halloween is not a Holiday most people get off work for so it doesn't seem to pay much problem with attendance (aside from the MNSSHP, which is a seperate hard ticket event). I have been over Halloween week and we had a great time! The weather was GREAT, the crowds were nothing to even worry about...walked on to everything. I personally would think to go later in the month. Or if you wanna go on the 5th and take me for my b-day I will be more than happy to let you!

Well, I paid the $7.95 and got my answer as to which wek is best for us to go, but it's still a toss up for different reasons.

Oh, and to the poster that suggested for me to go to the book store and get the answers, the questions change everytime you refresh the screen so you can't do that.

From last year, many people said that, that time frame was very crowded due to the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot.

But crowds are all relative, kind of like who likes what type of food etc.

I will say I have been to Disney over 20 times and I plan but now I am going in July, driving down and doing the Dining plan all for the first time, so that $18 bucks I spent on TGM was TOTALLY worth it!

There is so much information once you join, you have no idea, its worth it!:yay:

We went October 13th to 19th this past year. I thought the crowds were very tolerable. We didn't wait for more than 10 minutes for anything, but also avoided the parks mid-day.

you can use touringplans for free to look at their best day planning charts if you have the 2007 Unofficial guide. If that is all you want, borrow it from your local library and use it to see the best day planning charts. That $8 will buy you 4 mickey bars!

I think what the poster was referring to was that the best days list used to be printed in the actual UOG, but I guess since the predicitions changed, they decided to use the website. Remember, for $18 you get the great UOG as well as free access to Best Days. Go Len!

Not to be ugly, but this was also the only info we needed from UG and TGM, and we paid the $7.95 and $21.95 respectively to get it.

Go into a bookstore, pick up the UG, and flip to the calendar. Check out your dates and the crowd level numbers. Replace book on shelf. Simple. I did this myself although I ended up buying the UG later, because I liked it.

Edit: serves me right for not reading the entire thread before posting. I did not know that the printed UG doesn't have this info anymore. :(

We went Columbus day week last year and loved every second, no worries with the crowds but I wanted to point out (because I remember some disgruntled posters last fall) that if you are hoping to see Wishes during your vaca, not just Hallowishes then you might want to get to MK before the 15th. That was the date in 2006 when they changed to Hallowishes nightly no matter whether there was a party or not.
