This time last year, I was counting down with Hubs and the kids to our trip, making packing lists, watching YouTube videos like a wacko and spending far too much time on the Disboards! I am very, very excited that I have good reason to be doing the same thing this year. My best friend P and I will be heading down to Disney for a grown-up, girls-only five day trip in 3 weeks and 2 days! We'll be staying at Caribbean Beach, with its lakeside beach, hammocks, and proximity to Epcot.
This will be my fifth trip to Disney World, my fourth as an "adult." The first grown up trip, I was 18 and still very much into just going to the parks and finding Mickey Mouse. The second, I was 22 and pregnant, so I couldn't really enjoy much of anything geared toward the grown ups. This time around, we are going to take advantage of the plethora of amazing restaurants, hit Jellyrolls, take naps and avoid character lines like the plague! We'll be arriving a week before the Flower & Garden Expo opens, so I'm hoping that we'll be able to get a preview of some (if not most) of the displays for that while we're there. I've actually never ridden Kali River Rapids, since we didn't go to Animal Kingdom on our last trip, and I can't wait to ride Expedition Everest. I'm really looking forward to seeing lots of different resorts, as we'll be taking advantage of the dining in the Wilderness Lodge, The Grand Floridian, The Polynesian and Animal Kingdom Lodge. The trip can't come soon enough!

I'll be writing up posts there and copying them here for this trip. We're taking our kids and my sister and niece down in August as well, but I'm really looking forward to a kid-free trip!
