Growing Up

Well, I'm 46 and have Disney photos all over my desk at work. I know people roll their eyes... but that's okay. Age doesn't matter unless you're cheese.... or wine. :thumbsup2

Most people who come to my house ask who are the kids that live here? I take that as a compliment. My classroom is filled with looney tunes and disney. (it is a science classroom)

Photos please, Jen.

I'm glad I'm not into doing childish stuff like that.
Come on, I bet everyone of you have something similar in your homes. Let's see it.

Nice display, but I now have serious doubts about your mental stability! How on earth can you have the Bucs, Phins, Gators, Noles, Pats, and Colts residing in the same cubby??? Have you lost your mind, man? Come to your senses!! Get rid of the Phins and Gators! And whatever you do, do NOT put a Cowboy's helmet up there!! Bills, yes! Cowboy's, NEVER! Or the Giants or the Jets. Even though Gatordad thinks they are New York teams, they are not. They are from Dirty Jersey. Only the BILLS can say with pride that they are from NEW YORK STATE!!

Deb,
I'm going out on a limb here, you're from the Buffalo area?
But it's a NFL mini helmet collection, so at some point I'll have to have those unmentionable teams helmets. I'll just keep them away from each other.

WE HAVE A WINNER!! You have now been promoted to Branch Manager!! :rotfl2:

You can always leave the "helmets that must not be named" in their boxes.:thumbsup2

Even though I've lived in Florida many more years than the Buffalo area, I will forever be a Bills fan.

Thank GOD my boss is a huge Disney fan, too!!! I wish my husband was one! :headache:

At the place I used to work there were several people who were allmost as Disney obsesed as I am and it was allways nice to swap trip stories and experiences with them.
Now it is kinda strange I don't have any (local) friends or nieghbors who are even Disney fans let alone fanatics.
Hurray for the DIS Boards and all the wonderful members:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

My DH use to hate Disney until we went to FW camping for the 1st time. It took several trips for me to get him to even step foot into the MK. Now he justs says he is tired of Disney, (prices, etcetc.), but he sure does want to go all the time and keeps buying a yearly pass.

I agree with you about the DIS Boards!! :cheer2::cheer2:
It is so nice to talk with other Disney fans!!! No one understands why we go to FW so much. No matter how much we try to explain they think we are crazy. I am a Disney Fanatic and I Love it!!!

Some people don't get it & never will. Gotta kinda feel sorry for them. :sad2:

That's like the ones who do a whole 3 day Disney vacation and they did 'everything' and don't need to go again. :confused3

Fortunately, most of my co-workers love Disney, and many come to me to help plan their vacation. :cool1:

I have met those people there is no point in even saying the word Disney around them. You just say whatever:confused3

I put Disney stickers all over my hard hat tonight I will let you know how he likes that.:rotfl:

Well it took about 2 hours before he noticed them then he started to give me a hard time about removing them. He did have his strange smile on his face at the time. I told him that I was going to make him love Mickey before I was through with him:rotfl2:

I was at my new job today talking with the super. about my Mickey light I want to make. He turned to me and ask "How Old Are You?" I replied 44 to whitch he answered "Isn't It About Time You Grew Up And Forgot About All This Disney And Mickey Mouse Crap?"
I guess it's just more proof that some people will never understand.:wizard:
Besides my DW wishes I was more like I was when I was younger. Carefree and easy going when I didn't let other peoples S**T bother me.
I think I am to grown up now:scared1:

This is to all of us who refuse to grow up :dance3: :grouphug: :cheer2: :santa: princess: :3dglasses :cloud9: Stay Young:thumbsup2

as Jimmy Buffet says growing old is fine he just does not want to grow up..:worship:...we have people say this crap to us all the time as my sister and brother in law go to Disney any chance we get and we like to do it without kids-- they were never able to have any and mine are grown and take their own and meet us from time to time. It was fun with the kids but is "even more fun alone" if that is possible.:cheer2: one I like is your going "there" again? and who has ask me that has been to say Gulf Shores 20 times this year. I am not ragging on GS by no means as I like that as well BUT we all do what we like to do and find a way to "afford" to do it. and I think that is the key word. Most these people that ask us this stuff have a problem planning a grocery trip and "some" just plain do not know how to relax nor do they want to take a vacation with the whole family. I talk to a lot of singles at WDW that go alone as wife will not go or husband will not go with them. :confused3 beats me. just know we love it and probably will for years our Mother went until 2009 and she was 87 years old when she went to her last MNSSHP:angel:
