Has anyone tried to grow tomatoes inside in the winter months? Did you ahve any luck? I was thinkign about starting a couple plants in pots on my porch from seed now, I figure they will be giving fruit long before the cold hits here, and I can drag them in overnight if I need to. Has anyone in FL or southern states had any luck trying this?

I know it is too hot for tomatos right now, at least in N.Fl. I would like to know if anyone has had success growing tomatos during winter also. I was thinking of trying to grow a tomato plant in one of those little plastic greenhouses that you start seeds in, just remove the shelves and place the frame with the plastic over the whole plant, pot and all. Sigh, you can't get decent tomatos in Fl.

I only can wish to try this. I have some now but winter never.....
I am envious!!!!! :yay:
