Groupons/ Living Social

I love Groupon as well! I like that I can get an email and look at it really quick to know what the daily deal is. I've used it to buy gifts for people and that's a great deal for that kind of thing. But, again......be disciplined! Don't buy if you don't need it!

I just tried Groupon for the first time today.

They had CT Science Center in West Hartford., 2 admissions for $11, normally it is $11 per person. My homeschooled son and I will go next week.

i went back and bought 2 more deals...they willl make xmas gifts for the kids and a friend.

I LOVE groupon!! I just found out that if you go through shopdiscover, you get 15% cash back.

My faves I have bought...

$55 for the annual pass to Museum of Science & Industry. Admission for one day for my family is $50 without "extras" - omnimax, sub, special exhibits - and for $5 more I get to go the whole year WITH the extras!

$18 (x's 2) = $36 for 4 of us to go to "Jazzin' at the Shedd". We got to go to the Shedd Aquarium at night - SUPER cool - heard great music - AND had a great spot to see the fireworks from Navy Pier. We did not even know this event existed - it will now be an annual tradition.

$25 for $50 Gap gift certificate :)

$39 for a 16 x 20 canvas photo (inc. tax and shipping) - regular price is $125.

$10 for a $20 ticket to Lego Fest at McCormick Place (this was through buywithme, not groupon). I paid $10 for 2, since I had a $10 referral credit:)

I also check http://www.grouponroundup.com/ - it lists all the national groupons. There are many (like the canvas deal - found that on here) that are online items. Even though it is offered in another city, you can still buy and use them.

i too love groupon. Althought it does cause you to splurge and have unforseen consquences...I bought my husband a day at Brainerd International Raceway with a race instructor (kind of like the richard petty school at WDW but you do it with your own car) Now after he went we are needing a new bumper. Just waiting for an autobody groupon..:)

Oh thank you so much. I was trying to find time everyday to scroll through other cities to look for online deals and gave up. Too much trouble. Thanks again.

Love it!!! So now even if you live in a small town of 600 (or know someone who does and you need a gift) you can use Groupon too!!:cool1:
