Groupon

You buy the groupon, you print it out, you use it before the expiration date. You'll have to check the offer for any restrictions, but it's pretty straightforward.

You buy the coupon or "groupon" online and pay the price listed. Once the groupon has posted to your account (this can be immediate or may take a day or two or may be on a designated day) you can print it out right away or save it to print until right before you head out. Some places treat it as a coupon some as a gift certificate. For restaurant groupons, when you go to the restaurant they should deduct the full amount of the groupon off your bill. Like restaurant.com you should pay the tip on the full amount of the bill. I've done dozens of groupons and so far the only one I've had a remote problem with was the Milford Spice one. It took months to get my order all others - including both online deals for Hasbro and local ones for mini-golf and laser tag have worked out great. HTH

ETA - ooh there was one other one where I had a slight aggravation - 77 kids you had to spend at least the exact amount of the groupon (which was not stated in the fine print). Since everything in the store ended in a .99 you had to spend more than the amount of the groupon in order to use it (though this could be as little as 98 cents more).

Thanks..I did not see any restrictions. I wonder if it can be used for take out.

Also Red Robin has a loyalty program which may be looking into. Probably not better than a single good groupon but if you go there a lot maybe worthwhile.

I always plan to sign up but haven't managed it :confused3

What city is the Red Robin groupon for? I can't find it.

OP, groupon is pretty easy to use and sometimes they gave really good national deals on top of local deals. I have gotten many groupons and never had a problem with any of them.

n/m found it, hoping it was for all over CT.

I love Groupon!
I bought movie tickets + a soda for our local Studio Movie Grill here for $5 good for any show, any time before December. I'm taking my DD's friends there for her birthday.

It should tell you right on the website. It will say "the fine print" right under the picture to the right. I have never seen one for a restaurant that didn't say "dine in only," but it probably varies due to state and local laws. What city are you looking at?

make sure to shop thru ebates and get 3% cash back :) I love groupons...thinking about buying that one for my parents as it is good in parts of mass too...
