Groupon Getaways?

Anybody ever use them?

Some of deals seem to good to be true. There was a week in Paris and London for less than $2000. It's hard to find airfare for much less than that!

If it were just me I'd be tempted to try it, but I have a kid as my travel companion these days, which means more planning!!

I'm also debating a NYC hotel stay coming up (I'm close to the city so usually it's just a day trip) so watching those "getaway" deals.

I'd love to hear stories - good or bad!

We used one this winter for Vermont. We were very happy with the package and the long weekend away. I have seen a few complaints about hidden fees from the resort. Luckily I had read the small print ahead of time and knew there would be additional resort fees upon check out.

I know a lady who bought a deal for Costa Rica consisting of the hotel stay nad some kind of tour. They had a great time and saved a bunch of money.

I have only purchased local hotel stays but had no issues.
