group with an odd amount of people?

Our family decided to bring along a close friend which brings our group to 7 people. The lodging we have will fit all 7 of us.

I don't know how things will be in the parks since some rides like Space Mountain and Test Track fit 6 per train, and other rides only have 2 seats.

Any tips?

Someone rides alone. It's not a big deal. We're a family of three and it has never been an issue.

yep. on some of the rides, somebody will have to ride alone. There are some that may accommodate 3 in a seat where one or more of the riders is small, but there are others that will not.

Maybe have adults or older kids (teens or above) take turns being the one to ride on their own.

Don't sweat it. On most rides you'll be split into 3, 3, 1 or 2, 3, 2.

There's really nothing special to plan. You'll just break up the same as if you were 4 and you went on a ride that sits 3 across. You'd do 2/2 or 3/1. With 7 you'll break into 2/2/2/1 or 3/3/1 or 2/2/3 or whatever works. You won't even all go on the same ride all the time, with a larger party we end up splitting up quite often for big chunks of the day.

You may notice a difference when making dining reservations, small parties are easier to squeeze in than big parties, especially last minute. There are lots of tables that seat 2 or 4, but fewer tables that seat 6, and then fewer yet that seat 7-8. Again nothing to worry about as it's not all that big of a deal just book ahead and you'll be fine.
