Group Planning Tips & Tricks

I'm in the process of planning a vacation with extended family and this is my first time planning for more than a group of 4. So I thought I would start a thread collecting all the tips and tricks people have into one place.

This is also my first time planning any trip since My Disney Experience was launched, so any advice on how to use that for groups would be most welcome.

Have you gone with a large group or had to plan a large trip yourself? Please post here!

i've only gone with a group as large as 11 but in total we were spread out in 5 rooms.
request that they are next to each other.
this makes it easy to communicate.
then just make sure you come up with a game plan and determine when and where you will all meet up as i'm sure that not everyone is gonna want to do the exact same thing.
for example we all did fantasyland together then some of us wanted to meet characters and some did not so we then made a pln to meet at lunch.

I've heard that advice too -- don't keep the group together the whole time. Just make mealtimes when people meet up.

Don't try to keep the group together all the time. Plan meals and activities together and then let each small group also have time to do stuff in their own.

This seems to be the most common advice. Good to know!

Anyone ever plan for a large group using My Disney Experience? What happens when multiple people are paying? Can you link reservations and make fastpasses for everyone?

I haven't had an issue linking fast passes for a group of 10.. Everyone just has it where people can view and manage and then I went around and did all the fast passes for everyone based on groups and who likes what

What was the best plan for meals for 10? Did some restaurants work out better than others?
