Rent a passenger van that seats 15 to get from park to park easier? I think waiting for the shuttles with a big group sounds a little frustrating, especially with 6 toddlers.

I would say yes, because at night if it is busy, you might not all be able to get on the same bus, then you will have to split up, or wait fdor the next bus....if it is in your budget and you can afford it, then I would say yes.

I'd stick to the Disney buses. If you do rent a vehcile, go with 2 cars/minivans. It will be too hard to get 10 people organized to do eveything at the same time. It's better if you do not all tour the parks together anyway, especially if you have a group of 10.

Speaking from experience, someone will always need a drink, a bathroom break, a rest, a new diaper, etc. and it won't all happen at the same time! If you tour the parks together, you will become very frustrated with how little you actually see and do. Our group was only 8 and it was very hard. When we had 11, it was unbearable and we soon split up to do the attractions.

Even if you travel to the same park, break up into smaller family groups to visit the attractions. Meet for a meal or a parade. You'll be glad you did!

Best wishes -

Our last trip was 11 people--including a 2, 4 and 7 yr old. The rates on those things are quite $$. I dont think I found one less that $500 + a week. We used Fl tours to pick us up at the airport and our transfers and it was about $200--that included pick/drop off airport and round trip transfers to Universal and back to Disney.

I agree with CarolMN. Wouldnt rent the van. I have visited WDW several times with a large group and doing everything together just does not work out. We find it best to do a few things together and always have one meal together.

We find that people want to do different things at different times and everyone seems to have their own speed. Let everyone pick their own direction but get together for a character breakfast or a great dinner and discuss the day.

One evening we ate at Whispering Canyon then took the boat to MK for the fireworks and dessert. We able to share our day and still do a few things together

Unless one of the adult members of your group is a contortionist I would not reccommend 1 big van!! Getting 6 toddlers in and out of car seats in a 15 passenger van would be about as much fun as having a root canal. And what do you think the chances are that every one of those toddlers is going to be ready to come and go at the same time???

I would really suggest a mini-van and a car....it would be much cheaper than renting one of the large vans, you would have more luggage space, the in and out factor for all those car seats would be MUCH better....and you would have the distinct advantage of having 2 vehicles....if a few need to go back to the room early, or one Mom needs to run to the grocery when everyone else needs the van, etc...

Togetherness is great...but there is always too much of a good thing!!

Nope, I'd have 2 limo's meet your group. They'll even provide carseats so you don't have to drag your's down.
They will even make a 30 minute stop at a grocery store so you can stock up on diapers, snacks, etc.

Much nicer way to start and end a vacation.
