Hello. This is my first post. I hope it is in the right spot. I looked through enough to see a thread about Tony Hinds transportation and that going downhill but couldn’t find any other ground transportation info.

We had issues in the past with Mears AND Transtar. I’ve read horror stories about the Sunshine Flyer as well. We do not do Uber/Lyft. I’ve been contacting other companies I’ve seen mentioned and they are quoting me $200-$300 for 2 people for a round trip MCO/Disney resort transfer.

Is this the norm? Is there a more affordable transfer service out there?

You can get a cab ! It is easy from Mco and from the resorts to head anywhere. They are part of mears. However that’s a good thing, With ride share there’s not back up. However with the taxi any issues the driver can call in.

I think 60-80 or so from Mco to a resort. It’s fast and they are standing by so you don’t have to wait.

Royal Transportation is not cheap but good service.

Thank you so much for this information! Just getting a taxi is what I have been leaning to! That way I can get one whenever I am ready to go and do directly where I need to!

Most people don;t realize they are stationed at the wdw resort lobbies. You can ask the valet guys to flag one down.

They do cost a little more than RS but still reasonable for fast service.

MCO users they are at the new C gate as well. I fly JB often and will say they are there but not noticeable. You have to look for the guy running around asking “need a taxi?”He doesn’t appear to have a stand. However they are close and didn’t take long, a minute? For it to arrive,

look up "the magical express", not the disney service of years past but a company with the similar name. They were super affordable compared to other options and the vehicles and drivers are super nice.

I did, they are still in that $200-$300 range for round trip. Pricing based “per vehicle” not per person. I think I’m going to stick with a taxi. It’s ridiculous to pay that amount for what? 1.5 hours of driving total compared to the $800 I paid for flights that would equate to 42 hours of driving total.
