Ground Transportation from airport

I am looking into ground transportation for my upcomming Disneyland trip. So far I found Super Shuttle from LAX to DL-H for $15.00 pp per way. Is this a good deal? Is Super Shuttle reliable? Does anyone suggest a differnt service?

SuperShuttle is reliable and inexpensive that's for sure!. However, here's my experience with SS out of LAX. We got into the van and about 1 1/2 to 2 hours later we arrived at DLR! There were three other "couples" in the van and they were going to their residences and we were the last to be dropped off. So, basically, we spent 2 hours driving around the suburbs of LA trying to find addresses and get people home. It was a long morning that's for sure!

So, if you don't think you want to be stuck in a van with strangers all getting a ride home from LAX, you might want to try getting a private car instead.

I will never do SS again. I'll get a private car, limo, taxi, etc. and splurge a little bit.

If you are staying at a DL Resort Hotel, I'd do the Disney Bus that takes you directly to the hotels.

I agree with the previous poster. Super Shuttle takes too long. I once took it back to LAX from the Universal area and it took over 2 hours. We went to a bunch of houses and even to Long Beach airport first.

The Airport Bus (Disneyland Express) would be my choice if there are just a couple of you. It runs around $30 round trip. There is usually a coupon on the Airport Bus website.

If there are more than 2 or 3 of you, it may be worth renting a car for the day you arrive and the day you leave. We rented from Hertz last year and they have a location about a mile from Disneyland where we returned the car and then they picked us up the day we needed the car again. It was nice because we had the car to stop at the grocery store for milk & juice and we were able to stop at the beach on our way back to the airport.

I once took it back to LAX from the Universal area and it took over 2 hours.

I was looking for the other topic but i cant find it, but One day on my way back from work, our CM buses are on the very far right, i noticed a free Universal <--> Disneyland Shuttle that parked in the bus area, someone should look into that... i would have grabbed the number but i couldnt see it

I swear i saw a airport bus that says "Sponsored by SuperShuttle" which is why supershuttle has the rights to but Disney pictures on their cars. Ill go check it out today when i go to work. 15 min till work :/

I do know there is a Greyhound station on Anahiem Blvd, between Katella & Ball.

EDIT: nevermind, im wrong... i think there another bus system sponsored by SuperShuttle... not sure which one.

I wouldn't care who owned the Disney Express Bus as long as it took me directly to the DLR Hotel area. I don't mind making a few stops to drop off other Disney Hotel guests at Paradise Pier, the GC and then DLH, but driving back and forth through Norwalk, LaMirada, Garden Grove and then into Anaheim was a bummer.

We've only used SS from SNA. We've used them a couple of times, and never had a problem. But, because SNA is so close and is used by so many Disney travlers we've almost always just had a van full of other families on vacation.

I'm not sure. Seems like most people use the larger airports. I know that LAX and SNA both have super shuttle vans lined up outside. I dont recall seeing that at LGB. I think you have to make a reservation with them for LGB.

We had great luck renting a car out of LGB. I waited until a couple days before we left and booked thru Alamo "hot deals". It was about $40 for 4 days. The drive from LGB to the park is really easy. You can take one street (wardlow becomes Ball and runs to the back of the park), and get right to the park.

You might also consider a taxi from LGB. Its about $35-40 each way. If you have 2 more more people it'll be about the same price as SS, and much quicker.

I guess I have just gotten lucky with SS. I have used it twice with no problems. Never took more than a hour to get from LAX to hotel (first time was Anaheim Hilton, second time was Best Western Park Place). If you do decide to use SS go to

Okay you have all made very good points, thank you for your help. I am looking for the most direct, cheapest (there are just 2 of us) and most reliable. One of the Posters mentioned the Disneyland Bus, how can I find out more about this?

When I reserved my vacation package, I requested the Disneyland bus as ground transfer, but I was staying at HoJo, so the reservationist suggested SS instead. So, when you make your reservations, tell them you are only considering the Disneyland bus. You can ALSO purchase the transfer when you get to the airport. Here's a little info I found at the website listed below.

There aren't very many shuttle options from Long Beach, but it is my favorite airport for DL. I'd say get a cab (flat rate of $36). You get your luggage and cross a small street and there are cabs lined up ready to go.

Thanks, a taxi will do fine. Can't get anymore direct than that right! I'm assuming it's a flat rate back to Long Beach Airport too? I think LB Airport is going to be a good option for me this time. LAX isn't a big deal to me, but LB sure does look closer!! And flying Jet Blue sounds great!!
