Ground Transportation form Airport

Hey DISsers,

I'm planning to arrange ground transportation from the airport in advance. Has anyone done this before? Our flight lands at 3:20 p.m. What time would you recommend that I submit as the "pick-up" time for our transportation? 4:00? Just wanted the expert opinion of all you experienced travelers! I greatly appreciate any advice that you are able to give.

I would say 4:00 would be safe, but a better idea would be to call the car company and ask what they recommend.

When I booked a town car, I just gave them my flight arrival info and the driver was awaiting us at the baggage carousel. I'm pretty sure the drivers check the flight status so they know if they need to pick you up earlier or later than planned.

Edited to add: I think we were in the town car within 15 minutes of the flight landing (but we had no checked luggage to wait for).

I've just given them my flight information and they've been there at the bottom of the escalator waiting for me. They said they wanted the flight number as well as the arrival time, just in case the flight changed. They keep an eye flight times.

We also provided flight details to the company. By the way, the driver will probably offer a grocery store stop which we found most helpful. We purchased breakfast food and some drinks and snacks to save time and allow us to get to the parks very early each morning.

Yes they will know when to pick you up.

I work for a transportation company and the system tracks every trip with a airport pick up and lets them know when the plane will be in.
