I am thinking about adding the DCL transfers from MCO to the port.
Our cruise leaves on a Sat so we will probably fly in Friday night and stay at the Hyatt.
Should I add the transfers now or wait?
Our cruise is in Nov 2021. I am thinking add now but just want to make sure if I cancel the cruise for any reason that would cancel out the transfer too?

You can add now, but you have plenty of time. I would keep my money for now. If things are up and running by next summer, you could add them then. Someone else may chime in, but if cruise cancels you would get your money back. If you change your mind about the transfers, you have time to cancel them and get a refund. Just unsure of that time frame. I would hang on for a bit. At least that would be what I would do. Good luck with your decision.

You have plenty of time to add them. We've added them just a day before we've left before and I believe you can purchase them as late as at the airport. If you add them now, you have until 3 days before you leave to cancel them for a full refund. So overall, they are pretty flexible. If you add them now, you don't have to pay for them until PIF date.

I recommend adding them now, as the price could go up at any time. You can always have them removed & refunded (even after your PIF date) if you change your mind, and yes, the money would also be refunded if you or DCL cancelled the cruise.

Does anyone know if Minnie Vans go from MCO to the port? We're also looking to stay at the Hyatt the night before we sail in September 2021 but unsure if MV would be an option from the airport.

No. Only from WDW resorts to the port. However, the Minnie Van Service has been suspended and there is no word on when it is coming back, if ever. And, with the question of when cruising has a whole will resume, it is just tough to tell if/when the Minnie Van service will resume and with what routes. And, the Minnie van to the port from WDW resorts was quite expensive. I think it is like $250 one way

Just be prepared in the event you have what happened to my parents happen to you. They were using it, and their shuttle never showed up. Multiple calls by them and the hotel manager elicited an “Oops. Sorry.” and no more. They ended up taking an Uber and were about the last passengers on board.

Never flown into MCO for a cruise but I know a lot of people use Go Port. I've never heard any complaints.

We also used GoPort and it was excellent.

We used the DCL shuttle three times. The last time we used it, we spent 1 hour on the side of the road with no A/C because the bus had died. We had to switch bus. Badluck could happen with any company. I believe we embarked on the ship around 2:30 PM. We barely made it to cabanas on time to have lunch.

I would personally wait. Flight schedules seem to be changing a lot. Yes your plan would be to stay at Hyatt the night before but with all the changes in the travel industry this may not be the optimal choice for you at the time. Since there isn't any urgency I would wait until I know my flights for sure and know that I am going to be staying at the Hyatt.

Have you considered taking the shuttle out to port the night before and staying at a port hotel?

I'm kind of confused by a lot of posts here that say to save your money and book later. We've never had to pay the cost of DCL port transfers when booking them--it just becomes part of the total cruise fare and is not due to paid until your PIF date. You can cancel up to 5 days before the sail date. Really no reason not to add them if you ask me.
