Ground-Level Boardwalk View Rooms

When we were in WDW this past December, we toured the model room at BWV. At that time we noticed a small number of ground-level rooms nearby and thought that those particular rooms would not be all that appealing to us.

We were lucky enough to get a 2-BR Boardwalk View for this August. Does anyone know if there are very many ground-level rooms with a BW view? Are any of these 2 BR?

Thanks!

I am not sure how many 2 bedrooms are on the ground floor but I know there is at least one... The past Halloween we had Boardwalk View 2 bedroom and when they told me the room number at check in I was like...Oooh... is that ground level? I know I requested Broadwalk view, I just didnt know they would be viewing us (all very upbeat, in a joking manner just so you know)

Without hesitation they offered us another room and reassigned us. I was extremely grateful, because I am way too lame to have asked to be changed.... Top Floor directly above the first room all the way at the end Near Jellyrolls.

During the week we walked past those ground floor rooms and those rooms are just so exposed... No real landscaping or anything... a short fence and some flowers... TOO EXPOSED!! The ground floor rooms on the inner court near the pools all have lovely landscaping to make you feel like your a bit secluded...

I would take the dumpster view at VWL over those rooms anyday! SO From now I will add High Floor to any Boardwalk VIEW reservation.

We had that 2 bdrm and our friends had the 1 bedroom next door. We loved it! really the flowers/shrubbery and the fencing was plenty. The sound was blocked with the door shut (just like the other Boardwalk view rooms) and frankly, it was pretty obvious these had been newly renovated - really **** and span. Don't worry about the rooms, they were great.

Never had a problem with noise with BWview.

while I wouldn't turn down the dumpster view at VWL I sure wouldn't turn down these BWView rooms either:cool1:

since being members (2002) I only turned down 1 room ( our 1st trip after buying at BWV we stayed at VWL and they tried to give us the no- balcony room:lmao: little did they know I knew about this room from the DIS and they gave us another room:banana:

We just got back and when I checked in I got room #2001 the very last room right above one of the ground floor rooms. I was told I could have this room now (at 7:30 in the morning!!) or I could wait until later to have a first floor room. I was told these were the only 2 rooms (1bedroom) available that day. So whoever checked in after me got that room. I had high floor on my requests, but since there are so few BW view rooms it all depends on what checks out that day. Good luck, I am sure you will have a wonderful room!
