Grosvenor no longer a Disney hotel?

I just received a copy of the AAA 2005 Disney World guide book, and although it still shows the Grosvenor on the map, it is not identified and is not listed as one of the Downtown Disney Hotels. Has the Grosvenor been dropped by Disney?

I think still part of Downtown Disney it's just not feature in the AAA WDW guide.

They probably don't offer AAA rates, so AAA doesn't include them in the Map. I'm not positive about that though, just a guess.

it is still there.

as long as Grosvenor owns this hotel - it is a Downtown Disney hotel.

all the leases for this area will run out in 2070 - they all got 99 year leases.

remember it does not have WDW transportation - nor the surprise hours - no DD hotel has the WDW transportation.

Only the Hilton has the surprise hours.

Maybe someone can elaborate, but I thought I heard several months ago that Grosvenor or company involved with hotel filed for bankruptcy, perhaps if true that is why info skimpy on Disney literature until situation worked out.

Hilton guests do have EMH -- Hilton is the only hotel "on-property" on International Drive that has EMH. Bus transportation from the "on-property" International Drive hotels is not outstanding, but it is adequate.

The DTD hotels are on Hotel Plaza Drive, not international drive .

The Grosvenor Hotel did have Disney transporation when I was there Jan. 2004. The Disney buses make the rounds of the DTD hotels and have great schedules as well. We loved the Grosvenor!

We hated the hotel but loved the location hence we have bought into DVC at SSR as the location is just as good to walk to DTD.

Have not been yet but feel it will be better as really felt the Grosvenor was not up to standard in our opinion.

Ok,Here it goes. The Grovsnor is on a road called Hotel plaza Blv.
There are 7 hotels on his road. They are all privat owned but on Disney property. They use their own bus service that is 8 busses every 1Hrs.(one buss to MK, one to AK, one to EPCOT and one to MGM every 1/2 Hrs.) Time table;Forget it. You can walk to DTD markedplace. Takes about 5 min from Grovsnor and 10-15 min form Best western, Royal plaza, Doblethree.
But these busses only goes to Disney resorts(All Stars +++).
There you can transfer and go to TTL at Magic Kingdoom, or another park. (takes about1 Hr total + -). The Hotel busses takes about 15-25 min.
