I haven't even opened a fart thread, but the fact these threads are all over the front page...well, it's a bit odd. Can't avoid reading the titles, you know?

I think the core problem is that society has gotten to where it no longer appreciates the good 'ol fashion fart the way it used to. With all the negative media, recession, and other crisis' taking place, I find it good to be able to sip bubbly and discuss the ethics of farting. The world would be a happier place if instead of turning on the news and hearing of tragic oil spills, unemployment numbers, or which banks failed this week...but instead we turned on the news and saw this:
