After he proposed to you, did anyone give their groom-to-be an engagement ring or other personal item (like a watch) so he would have something special during the engagement period?
I do believe you should mark the occasion for your Fiancee also. Why not! After all he's bought you such a beautiful piece of jewellery, he deserves something in return! My BF has not proposed yet as we just bought our first home, but I know he's is saving very hard to buy my rock! So I am also doing the same. I have been saving for months now to get him a fancy laptop! Not very romantic I know, but he loves technology and I know he's always wanted one, so I know it will make him very happy. I just think it's only fair to mark this special occasion with something you know your Fiancee will love, and don't limit yourself to Jewellery!
Anyway that's just my opinion. Good luck with your decision!
Long before we got engaged, DH got each of us matching silver rings that we wore on our right hands. Once we got engaged, I wore my engagement ring, but he continued to wear the other ring until the day we got married.
gary wanted an engagement ring, so i bought him a plain 18ct white gold wedding ring, he wants to just get it polished up and use it for a wedding ring too.
Yes! I definitely wanted to get my fiance an engagement present as well; I got him a 14K yellow gold figaro chain that he now wears daily He plans to wear it on our wedding day as well (under his tux of course).
