What grocery stores do you all recommend that are near to WDW? Thinking of taking an UBER over next trip instead of delivery.

There is a Publix a couple of miles from the Grand Floridian. Publix seems to always have great stores.

It really depends at which resort your staying at, the resorts can be very far apart and have different stores.

When we come from the airport on 417, you can get off on John Young Parkway (exit 10) and go to the Publix. We have gotten off on exit 11, turn right and there is a Target with gorcery store there.
Both are good. We like Target because we can also pick other things we ma need/want.

We always rent a car and from the airport get on I-4 and get off at the Rt 535 exit and go into Crossroads to Goodings. I am sure it is pricier than anything else around, but for convenience we feel it's the easiest and the selection is good. A couple times, though, when we have stayed for 2 weeks, we have gotten off at that same exit and headed in the other direction a few miles to a Walmart Supercenter. MUCH cheaper than Goodings. I also know someone who has often done what you are looking to do and they get picked up by Mears at their resort and hit a local Publix. I believe it's the one mentioned in an earlier post.

Animal Kingdom is close to both Publix and SuperTarget on 192.
Walmart on 535 is closer to OKW, Saratoga, etc.
Goodings is closing soon if they haven't already.

Our grocery stop depends on where we fly into as flights into MCO have gotten too expensive. We use the Walmart at 27/192 if flying into Tampa. We've used a Walmart neighborhood market in Kissimmee when we flew into Melbourne. Next trip is in and out of MCO, so we will likely do delivery next time.

We really like Publix, wish we had them at home. We always rent a car so we usually stop at Publix on the drive from MCO to our resort. They have a really good beer selection for a grocery store, and they have a nice selection of deli meats & cheeses.

From the MK area the Lakeside Village Publix, for OKW/SSR the Regency Village Publix or Walmart near Orange Lake, for EPCOT resorts WM off Osceola parkway or the Water Tower Shop Publix, for AKV or values nearby it's the super Target or Publix at Orange Lake. You might see if there's anyone else on the board who's going to be there at the same time and catch a ride.

IF at AKV/AKL, you take sherberth road out and you take the side road for the other entrance to Silver Lakes that comes out by Chick fil A your almost to the Publix and Supertarget. Clearly easier from that location than the 5 plus miles to WM even with the toll road.

We are staying at OKW, and mainly want to get fresh produce and alcohol. That's a party... lol

Garden Grocer is a great option...reasonable prices and they deliver to DVC Resorts.

Thoughts on Target prices vs Walmart nowadays?
Lots of Health and Beauty items - water - other snacks.
99% Walmart after landing but have a $50 gc for Target so considering a change

I just found one problem with trying to use Walmart. They only accept US billing addresses, so anyone from outside the US will not be able to use Walmart to order groceries. Back to using Publix, at least they will take my money.

I like to go to Target because the layout is similar across stores and I am VERY familiar with my Target. This way, I have a pretty good idea of where things are.

Having just gone through Walmart and Public/Instacart for the same items, I can say that Walmart came out 10-20% cheaper on nearly every item.

We have a Publix down the street from our house, so it is the go to grocery store.

If we go to a grocery store, in Orlando, it is the Publix.

I like to go to Target because the layout is similar across stores and I am VERY familiar with my Target. This way, I have a pretty good idea of where things are.

I went tonight to scope out the groceries and prices. All good. We will be going there instead of Walmart.
