Grocery stores in AKV area

We go for our first visit to Kidani in a week. Will have a rental car so we will procure our own groceries.

Usually before when we come in town we have shopped the Publix on the east side of the World off Vineland, near Epcot drive. It seems like that's a long way from AKV. Wondering what grocery stores are more convenient to this southwest section? Thanks in advance.

There's a Publix not far away (actually incredibly close if you could go off-road ). If you take the Sherberth road shortcut, it's just a few minutes from AKV:

Just curious, how long does it take to drive to the Publix from AKL? We normally stay at VWL, OKW and BWV, so we frequent the Winn Dixie on Apopka Vineland Rd. but may hi the Publix if traffic and timing is less to deal with.

Maybe 5 min. I think there are 2 or 3 traffic lights.

It's really close. Maybe a 5 minute drive. It is right at the edge of Disney property, and there are some decent off site restaurants there as well like Bahama Breeze and Sweet Tomatoes.

If you head out of AKV, turn right on Sherberth, then right on 192, it's only about a 5-10 minute drive (depends on traffic lights). This is an old map and not to scale, just to help you visualize the drive. I would estimate it's about 2 miles once you turn onto 192.

We go to the Super Target on 192 when we are at AKV. We take Sherberth Road and turn right on Black Lake Road and it puts you out on 192. Turn right and then you take a left at Super Target. This way we avoid a lot of traffic on 192. Works for us.

As others have said, Publix and Super Target on 192. One of the many things I liked about AKV was being so close to Publix and Target.

You're right, we do this too but for people not familiar with the area I didn't mention the Black Lake Road shortcut.

That being said, if you're trying to check out the different restaurants along 192, then you will want to drive the length and not take the shortcut.

We love having a Publix and Super Target so close!

We usually hit Super Target and then Publix on our WDW trips. This year we'll be doing the Thanksgiving dinner from Publix for the first time next week. Hopefully it's good.

Yes, they sell beer and wine but no hard liquor.

Yes we stayed at AKV the last two years and R192 was a great find for us. Lots of places to shop and dine as well. In fact right next to Target is a Sweet Tomatoes. There is a liquor store in that area too if you looking for more than wine and beer. We're staying BC this year and I'm still intend to do my shopping up on 192.

That 'a the way we go. I think there is only 1 traffic light . There is a Chik Fil A as well.
