What grocery store do you recommend between Claremont and Howard Johnson Anaheim? We want basic breakfast foods and snack foods as well as drinks, including beer and wine.

I would stock up at Trader Joe's in Claremont (Foothill and Indian Hill), then head for Anaheim. If you will be needing refrigerated items, then you have several choices in the Anaheim area. There is a Ralph's (Lincoln & State College), a Von's (Lincoln & Lemon), a WalMart grocery (Ball & State College), and a Target (on Harbor, about 1 mile south of DLR).
