Grocery store?

Does anyone know if there is a grocery store near the Candy Cane Inn, where I could buy milk and fruit (especially berries)? My little boy is a very picky (but healthy!) eater and sometimes the only things he'll eat very much of during the day are blueberries, raspberries, etc. so I thought I'd buy some and bring them into Disneyland for him to snack on (not sure if many of the restaurants have a lot of fruit?). Thanks for your help!

Almost next door is a 7eleven, but IIRC it has oranges, apples, bananna and grapes.

For berries you will need to drive, take ART or an OCTA bus south on Harbor about a mile to Target. Also to the west on Katella is a Food4Less and BigKmart.

How old is your son? Maybe this is the perfect time to have him eat other healthy things...tell him Mickey would want him to ;)!

Ha I agree. There isn't really a place that would have fresh blueberries too close by. Plus I just paid $4.99 for a 4 oz. package at my local store. Being an exclusive berry-eater must really add up!

Yes, it does add up! But he has some special needs and so it is not always easy to convince him to try new things...however, for some reason I thought you couldn't bring fruit along in your luggage, but I just called my airline and there is no problem at all! And we have a fridge at the Candy Cane, so he should be fine for a few days anyway. :)

Yes, you can bring food on in your carry-on bag, just no liquids.

Would your little one eat something like blueberry and raspberry fruit leather? Or dried blueberries and raspberries? I really like the dried berry mixes that have dried blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cherries, and cranberries.

there is a Vons grocery Store here is a map and a link to Vons. We go there a lot to get cases of water and stuff to save money. Also, DL does sell fresh fruit at DL I believe on Mainstreet in carts. I have seen apples. I'm not sure about berries but you can check it out also.

I don't remember having seen berries at 7/11 or Target. There is a Von's on Lincoln. If you are driving, pull out on Harbor, move to the far left turn lane, and make a U-turn. Take Harbor north to Lincoln (about 2 miles) and turn right. It will be about 2 blocks on the right.

My son has some food allergies and I was wondering if it was okay to bring in things like almond milk?

Okay to bring them into the park? Oh yeah. You can bring in drinks and snacks - even sandwiches! Just no glass and no big coolers or anything. A small soft-side cooler is okay.

Thanks! This is great to know! I was a little concerned...almond milk is something I was pretty sure I would not be able to find at the park.:goodvibes

The carts in the parks will have fruit, but not berries, maybe a parfait with blueberries, strawberries and yogurt but I've only seen those a couple of times. There will be apples and pineapple slices in the parks. Make sure you bring small hard sided containers to carry his yummy snacks in, that way they don't get smushed. :)

No almond milk, but yes, you can take it in yourself. :) Just not in a glass bottle, make sure it's in something plastic. :)
