Grocery store

I was talking with a co-worker who said her friend takes a free shuttle to DTD and walks one block to a grocery store. Unless a new store has been built recently, the only grocery store I know about is Goodings at the end of the street full of hotels (can't recall the street name right now) and I don't know about where she comes from, but where I come from, that's one very, very, very long block! DH and I walked it on our 1st ever trip to WDW and vowed never again....now we pack a bag just for meds that we need since WDW didn't sell what we needed. Does anyone here know of another store closer to DTD?

Ummm...nope! Goodings is the closest I can think of. There is a Hess gas station right across the street from DTD...prices are cheaper there and they have a bunch of stuff...maybe that's what she was thinking of?

This location is located approximately 1/2 mile north of the Crossroads Shopping Center on the right side of the road. Go to the end of Hotel Plaza Blvd and take a left on Apopka-Vineland Rd (535).

She said she definitely goes to a store near DTD and that the bus drops her off 1 block from the store. I think she might be one of those people who uses non-Disney hotel shuttle buses to get a hotel close to Goodings, shops, gets back on the shuttle and gets dropped off at DTD. I can't imagine spending that kind of time and effort to get groceries though. I'd rather be vacationing!
