grocery store within walking distance?

I really want to avoid renting a car, if I can, while I'm in CA, and was wondering if there are any good grocery stores within walking distance of DLR? I'm thinking of staying at one of the main gate hotels. If not walking distance, how would I get to Target or something like that? Is there a bus I could hop on and off, or would a taxi be best? (And is it easy to catch a taxi around there?)

Thanks for any input!

Lots of people seem to use and like Uber, which is usually cheaper than a cab. The hotel desks can usually arrange a cab for you if you aren't comfortable with Uber. If you want to save some shopping time, Vons grocery store will deliver to local hotels, just use the hotels address and the first delivery is free.

There is a Target about a mile south of the parks on Harbor. As stated above, lots of people have Vons deliver directly to the hotel. Not sure if this works with Amazon, too. If you don't need large amounts of items, CVS on the corner of Katella and Harbor has many grocery and sundry items and is open 24/7. On the way to CVS, you will pass the ABC Mart and 7-11.

Target is close. You could walk there but it'd be a decently long haul from the maingate hotels.

I would advise against walking back with groceries, too hard if you get a decent amount of stuff. A taxi wouldn't be too expensive. We asked the target customer service people to call one for us when we were ready to leave, and you could get your hotel to call for one to pick you up.

You could get an ART day pass for $5 and ride both ways, that might be cheaper if you're going alone, but the taxi would be cheaper if you're taking multiple people.

What are you getting for groceries? If it's just basic stuff like a box of granola bars, water, maybe some yogurt etc. there is 7-11/abc mart/CVS on the corner of Katella. I think there's going to be a walgreens going in at that intersection too when the hotel that is building on one corner is finished.

Thanks for the tips! I did not know about CVS, so that should be good enough for what I need. Thanks a lot!
