Grocery Store Question.....

Could someone please tell me if there is a large grocery store (Publix or otherwise) very very close to DTD. We are staying at SSR and my friend insists there is one right next door to DTD within walking distance....I say no. I know some of you pros out there will know for sure!!! Thanks in advance.....

There is a Gooding's within walking distance of DTD and SSR. We usually go shop at the Publix, which is a bit further away.

It is still quite a walk down the main drag from DTD to Goodings. Esp. carrying groceries back with you.

A taxi would not cost that much. If you had a complete shopping list and made a blitz run through the store w/a helper, you could accomplish a lot for a reasonable taxi fare.

And there is a Winn Dixie 'a few yards' down the road...much better pricing than Goodings.

Goodings is approx 1 - 1.5 miles from the traffic lite by the downtown disney marketplace bus area; and it requires crossing sr 535 at a traffic lite where the traffic can be as challenging as getting around a disney park during spring break!
