Grocery Store in HH

Where is the best place to get groceries in HH? Is there a Publix there? This is our first trip to HH and are not familiar with the area. I know that it is a resort town, so if all the grocery stores are like Gooding's, I am willing to stop somewhere along the way if I need to.

There is a Piggly Wiggly about 3 miles down the road from the resort. In fact you will pass it on the way there. If you go there stop at the customer service desk and get a vacation card. It's free and good for 30 days and gets you discounts on everthing that is on sale at the store.

Yes there is a Publix not to far from DVC HH. Piggly Wiggly is closer but if you are like us I will go out of my wife to shop at Publix. Love there bakery. Also sea food. Regard seafood there is place called Hudson's Seafood where you can buy fresh seafood right off their boats. The shrimp are great.

Just got back from VB last night and never saw a Piggly Wiggly. Publix is a 6 minute ride from the resort. They are practically giving away the produce and seafod as compared to here in PA. You'll enjoy the retro touch of the "bag boys" required to take your groceries to your car!

The Piggly Wiggly at HH is very close (far closer than 3 miles!). It is at the opposite end of the Shelter Cove Mall area. We have even walked it many times. (It is probable about 3/4 mile).

There are many other options within a short drive. There is even a Sam's Club about 5 miles from the resort- right off of 278.

Piggly Wiggly has an OK selection and certainly convenient!

PW is less than a mile, Publix and Harris Teeter about 3-4 miles. Bi-Lo a little farther. There is a super wal mart right of the interestate but the WM on the island is a standard one. Publix is likely your best option if you need much but the PW is OK.
