Hi all,

I'll be landing at MCO this coming Wednesday afternoon, picking up a hire car and heading off to Bay Lake Tower for my first two nights. Ideally I'd like to stop on the way to pick up some essentials - most notably plenty of bottles of water and beer! Which grocery store would be most convenient?

Many thanks,

Guy

I'd suggest the Publix on Vineland, which is very close to I-4.

Publix
8145 Vineland Avenue
Orlando, FL 32821
Phone: 407-238-9924

There's also a Winn-Dixie on Apopka-Vineland (SR-535):

Winn-Dixie
11957 S Apopka Vineland Rd
Orlando, FL 32836
Phone: 407-465-8600

If you have a GPS, that Publix and several other grocery stores are in a GPS POI file I made, available free from MouseSavers:

If your car hire is taking the south exit of the airport which becomes 417 - which is one I highly recommend because there is less traffic and you don't have to get on I-4 which is a traffic nightmare- there is a Super Target at the Orange Blossom Trail exit on 417. This Super Target is 1/8th of a mile from the highway exit. Target is also only 6 miles from WDW. This is the one we always stop at and it is easy to get to.
