I will soon be going to WDW with a baby. I was thinking about using a grocery store delivery service to order diapers, wipes, water, cereal, etc.

Can anyone recommend a good delivery service in the area?

Is this a good idea or should I just pack it all?

Thanks,

Joanne

We have used Gardengrocer several times and have been pleased with the service. I would highly recommend them.

We have used Garden Grocer too. I plan to use them again in May. I would recommend them. :thumbsup2

You do not have to be in your room when Gardengrocer delivers, they can leave your groceries at the front desk. We used them for our September 2007 trip and plan to use them again for our September 2008 trip.

Yea, everyone has recommended gardengrocer to me that I know. I'm gonna use them next month for my trip.:thumbsup2

We have used wegoshop.com for our trips. I believe they will leave your grocercies with bell services if you are not in your room. I guess you would just have to make arrangements for payment prior. We've had great luck with them and have always gotten exactly what we ordered. You can specify which store you would like them to go to.

I contemplated a grocery delivery for our trip last month, but ended up packing food, diapers etc... I really regret my decision and will totally do gardengrocer next time. Anyone know if they deliver to OKW. Don't know if DVC property is different than regular resorts.

They do all WDW resorts and a number not on property if I remember correctly. You would think OKW and other DVC resorts they would do more business too actually.

I found them very accommodating. There was a few things they did not have listed and I requested that they were able to get. They guy who did the delivery was great. He had a list with a marker for the check over everything and make sure it was correct. :thumbsup2

just used gardengrocer. They called when they were delivering and we were at AK....the groceries were in my room and cold stuff in fridge!!!!! ( I am not sure if gg did this or the hotel) But i was happy and it really saved $$.

Is there a minimun with either Garden Grocer or WeGoShop?

Good question, Does anyone know if there is a minimum order amount? Also, do they accept manufacturer's coupons?

I just called Garden Grocer and they have a $40 min with a $12 delivery fee.

We have used WeGoShop and I don't think there is a minimum for your order. Their fee is based on the amount of your order upto a certain amount and then it is a per centage. They will coupons if they have them. I think I asked if I could send her coupons. We always need diapers and I always have coupons. I don't think it was a problem. I think she does add on an extra fee if you use a credit card. Last time I paid by check since we did't order a ton. I think if you need to use them again during the same trip there is no fee for the second run.

I am thinking of ordering some items from Garden Grocer. However, can someone let me know if a gallon or half gallon of milk will fit in the fridges at the resorts? We are staying at POR. Thanks!

I think it will fit, but unless you drink a lot of milk get a half and you can easily buy more at the resort store for not that much if you want it later in the week. (or 2 half gallons.) The full gallon, should fit, but it won't in the door and it will take up most of the room in the fridge.

I can also say I had a great experience with Garden Grocer. December was our first time traveling to Disney with our son, who was 8 months old, and it was SO nice not to have to pack all that extra stuff, and not to have to grocery shop once we arrived. With new airline rules about luggage, I suspect the grocery delivery business will be even busier from now on. We ordered baby stuff, bottled water, soft drinks for my Dad and husband(just can't get them on the healthy stuff) and breakfast foods to save time in the am.

Also know that the baby care centers in all the parks have baby necessities for sale just in case you get there without what you need (diapers, food, juice, even pacifiers and otc medicines like Tylenol.)
