Grocery stop with Lansky shuttle

Hello.

We are using the Lansky shuttle to go from LAX to DLR in a few days. We have requested the stop at a grocery store as part of the services that they offer. I have seen that people have stopped at Von's.

Is Von's a chain or just a local store? Is there a better place to stop?

Also, do they sell liquor in the grocery stores in California or do you have to go to a separate store?

We were going to buy some caffeine free drinks for my wife and some rum for me

We are staying at the GCH. Are there refrigerators in the rooms? If so, how big are the freezers (if they have one)?

We are using them for the first time for our trip in July and will be stopping at Trader Joes. I believe most people use them for larger grocery stores like Vons though.

Yes, California grocery stores sell booze of all sorts.

Vons is basically the SoCal version of Safeway - the gas rewards even cross over (if you've done the Safeway points at Chevron). The other big chain grocery store is Ralphs, which is basically Lucky's. Those two are the ones to go to if you want the most variety of choices.

And in California, anything goes on the booze. Lots and lots of wine, beer (including microbrews), and hard liquor sold at pretty much every supermarket.

There are mini fridges in the guest rooms at GCH, but I don't believe there's a freezer. If there is, it's small and not very good at its job.

Vons offers a delivery service that is free for your first delivery. GCH will accept delivery and you can get it when you check-in.
I'm trying to confirm if you can include alcohol. I emailed Disney and they referred me back to vons. Other posters have mentioned this so checking.
