Hi, when we land in Orlando we are going to be using a Town Car to get to WDW. Curious on how long you figure we’ll need for a grocery stop. I notice some of the sites allow for extra minutes (for a small price). So how long do you figure we’ll need to run into a grocery store and grab a few essentials for breakfasts and such??? Any help would be great and appreciated!!

I've only used one towncar company before (Tiffany) and they specified a 30 minute grocery stop for no extra charge. So that's what I stuck to, which was no problem. I had my list all made out, and I didn't dawdle.

I think that some towncar companies only allow for a 20 min. stop, which I still think would be fine just for grabbing essentials. Tiffany may have even shortened theirs to 20 min. also. It's been 2-3 years since I last used them.

Good luck! :)

I use Sunray Transportation and for my July 04 visit, scheduled a grocery stop. My nephew and I went to pick up just a few things, as we had packed a carry on with non-perishables so we could have an empty suitcase to fill with treats to take home. ;) We picked up milk, butter, cream cheese, yogurt, jelly, aluminum foil (we grilled our bagels with our iron) a few other things I can't remember and a couple cases of water. We were in and out with time to spare on the 30 minutes we were alloted. However, my grandmother did teach me how to shop fast growing up. Get in, get what you need, get out. No strolling, no browsing, no dilly dallying.

Good Luck!

Amazing enough I'm still thinking about this question months later. Love to hear some more opinions on it. Thanks to everyone!! :)

When we use the town car service, we had our lists make out and everyone had one and an area. Got in and out no gawking or price checking and the 30 minutes was no problem. Have also walked from DTD to Goodings at Crossroads, closest grocery store to property to walk, and walked back with supplies. Have walked there also and taken a cab back to DTD bus stop too. Groceries here are alittle higher, no more than at home at certain stores but they have everything, its close and its on our DTD day of shopping. Nice walk in the evening, we do this the first day because we do no parks when arriving and wife likes to start off checking stores, loves Captain Jacks for lunch and I get my beer from Goodings.
