We're wanting to do a Walmart run in the beginning of our August trip for breakfast, snacks & drinks for the room. Would it work time-wise (Fri) to do EMH at MK, use 3 FP, eat lunch and leave the park by 3 and head to Walmart? We would bring groceries back to AS Mu, then head back to MK for 7:10 ADR, then MSEP, etc. DH is suggesting we go instead on arrival day, but plane doesn't land till 5:30 PM...then we're going to need to go to Guest Services at Disney Springs to prioritize our tickets...plus we'll probably hit RFC for dinner... Which plan is better? We'll be in MK a few more times during the trip, plus we could set up a 4th FP before leaving the park Fri.

I would only worry about making the 7:10 adr, otherwise seems do able. Can you change the adr to 745-8. Then I would say it's perfect! I wouldn't do arrival day, I find travelling is exhausting no matter what hours or how long it takes you. We did Disney springs last year instead of just staying at the resort. I won't do it again.

Have ton concerned garden grocer or amazon prime? We have used both and have been very happy.

Like Alesia I would do a grocery delivery service. Your time on vacation is very valuable.
After an Awful customer service issue with wegoshop, I no longer use or recommend them. Check out GardenGrocer.com

I thought someone said Amazon has one hour delivery in Orlando now and free if you make it 2 hour delivery for prime members. Sounds like what we will do. Has anyone used this?

Walmart is a DISASTER every time we try to go there on arrival day. We do it anyway, but only b/c we stay in condo and need perishables. Plus, we rarely go to the parks on arrival day. We check in at lunchtime, go out for lunch and groceries, then relax in the pool so we're refreshed for the parks the next day.

In your situation, I'd do Garden Grocer.

This plan works if you leave the park by 2pm. 3 pm will be cutting it close for that 7:10 ADR. I'm not sure WHY you need to go to Guest Services on arrival day. Maybe there's a reason I don't understand that is important. I'd probably head directly from the airport to a real grocery store on the way to check-in at the resort.

Once we are inside "the bubble", we don't leave until that sad ride back to the airport on the Magical Express. I don't want to venture back to reality until I'm forced to!
We have always used Garden Grocer and been very pleased.

Delivery. Or on arrival day. But delivery is going to be the least stressful.
- Getting in and out of MK has the extra layer of ferry/monorail just to get to the TTC and your car, adding a lot of extra time to any shopping trip off property. That's a lot of schlepping in the middle of a fun day. Could be up to an hour just to get from inside MK to your car then to Walmart. Are you planning to buy perishables? If so, are you taking them to your accommodations before heading back MK? Are you staying on property or off?
- Traffic off property at that time of day on a Friday is going to be problematic.
- Walmart anywhere is always busy. Walmarts closest to WDW are really busy. Really really busy. Locals go there, vacationers go there. I lived in the area for almost a year, and Walmart was always busy no matter the time of day or location. You may have a long wait at checkout.

So many variables to potentially stress over. Who wants that on vacation?

Delivery really is the way to go. If you must do it yourselves, do it on arrival day and get it out of the way before you're on property. If you end up deciding on Friday/MK, leave MK a lot earlier than 3pm, that's cutting it way too close with too many variables in between you and your ADR at 7:10.

Another vote here for Garden Grocer. Don't waste precious WDW vacation time going to Walmart, or any grocery store for that matter!
