We want to submit a grocery order (with the DVC grocery order form) for our up coming trip 4/11-4/20. Since we will probably be in the parks when the goods arrive, and since we won't know our room number when we place the order, will they just find our room and place the stuff in the room like :wizard: ? Or do we have to be there when the stuff is delivered?

A week to go until our first trip "home" as DVC members! :cool1:

There was another thread that dealt with this and they said that if the groceries arrive while youa re not there, as long as there isn't any beer or wine in the order, bell services will store it cold for you until you come back to check in. This was for an offsite vendor called the Garden Grocer...gardengrocer.com This may be the same for the DVC order form.

Just wondered if you noticed but we will be staying at SSR the same time you are. This is our first time staying in our home resort. We are arriving on Sunday. Looks like the parks will be pretty busy. We have never gone this time of year.

Another option is Wegoshop.com

Our home resort is AKV - but this is our first trip as DVC Members - couldn't get into AKV at the time we needed to.

Why are you thinking the parks are busy? We kind of figured they'd be slow since easter and spring break are past.

Enjoy your trip!!!

I ordered groceries through DVC for my Easter trip. I was going to use Garden Grocery but I waited too late to place my order and they were already booked for Easter Sunday. The Disney service was wonderful. I arrived at the resort around 5pm and checked in. When I got in the room the groceries were there and all put away. I turned on the oven, tossed in a frozen pizza, and fed the kids. I will do this again for my trip in August. It was very convenient.

Just curious why you say bell services would only store it cold as long as there wasn't any beer or wine?:confused3 Our last stay at BCV bell services didn't have a problem using cold storage for our entire order, which included a case of beer.
And to the OP, no you do not have to be there to receive it. In fact bell services held our groceries most of the day as we got hung up at the parks.
