Last year was the first trip we ordered some food ahead to be delivered to the hotel from Garden Grocer. The service worked out well, and although we were on a dining plan (fo' free!) but it still managed to save us time (breakfast bars on the go and snackies before we headed to the pm parks) and money (wine for me and beer for DH!)

This trip we don't have a dining plan, so I think we might get more particle use out of this service than we even did before.

So...what are your favorite items to order ahead of time.
Keep in mind, we will be at POFQ and will only have a small fridge, but will have access to toasters and microwaves at the food court.

Money's not really the issue, we just like to get to the parks as easily as possible!

We like to get Bolthouse Farm Smoothies, English muffins and some fresh fruit so we can have breakfast in the room. We also get coffee supplies, some snacks (chips or cheese and crackers) and several gallons of water. This time we ordered some French bread pizzas since we'll have an oven in our unit so we can have a quiet dinner one night (no dining plan for us this time either).

Late night munchies, Chex mix, Pringles, and WINE!!!!

When we stay in our BCV we order from Garden Grocer, but I generally do not cook big meals.
We order: Fruit (bananas, apples, oranges, pears), juice, breakfast supplies, water, soda, beer, wine, cheese and crackers, chips and salsa, and other snacks as well. We have a quick breakfast before leaving in the morning, we bring water to the parks with us and it is great to have an "adult beverage" and a snack on our afternoon breaks.
Have Fun

We always order breakfast foods (bagels, yogurt etc.), fresh fruit (bananas, pre-sliced apples, grapes etc), some veggies (carrots, mini tomatoes etc), as well as water, juice boxes, and some beer for the room. We have found it saves us a lot of time as we always eat breakfast in the room prior to going to the parks. When on the dining plan (which we have always done for free), we use our counter service for lunch and table service for dinner. We love the convenience of Garden Grocer, and have always had success with them.

Bottled water, juice boxes, bread, peanut butter and jelly, real milk to add to coffee, small boxes of cereal, yogurt, granola bars, bananas, goldfish crackers. We typically only order breakfast things to eat in the room because we like to hit the ground running in the a.m. and be at the park for rope drop. I'll bring a bottle or two of water with us, along with some small snacks for the kids to eat in the park. Garden Grocer has always worked out really well for us and we definitely saved money eating breakfast in the room and packing our own snacks for the parks.

I'm thinking about using the grocery delivery service myself. I'm thinking honey nut cheerios, 2% milk, bagels, cream cheese, 2 kinds of fresh fruit, and beverages. My thought process is for breakfast options in a crunch and snacks for coming back at night. In a pinch I could be satisfied with a bagel and some fruit. Staying at Kidani Village for first time. I'm not sure how this is going to work. My flight comes in at 8:40 PM. I wonder how far I'm going to have to cart those bags WITH luggage to my room at 10:30 at night. Any tips.?

Have Bell Services bring your luggage and grocery delivery to your room. Well worth the tip

Water, snacks (nuts, fruit, things that store easy), breakfast items like cereal, milk, donuts or similar pastries. I sometimes also get some laundry and toiletries/sunscreen/etc this way.

We just borrow a cart from the luggage people and bring all our stuff depending on what resort we are at. If it's going to be a hike to return it, we'll let them bell hop it.

Definitely using this for a case of beer.

Hate paying $24 + $14 delivery charge, but its cheaper than $6 a can with Disney's prices!

We use We Go Shop instead of Garden Grocer. I like that you give them a list of exactly what you want. They deliver it with a 10% upcharge, plus tip. Then I can have the exact brand and type of thing I want. We sometimes order our toiletries this way too. I like that I can have the exact lotion, hair spray, etc that I want. You can even ask them to shop at a specific place. We have them use Walmart. They bring you the receipt and then add their charges to it. They will even come right to your room to deliver the items. Very handy! We usually have them deliver breakfast items that have already been mentioned, fruit, popcorn, cheese & crackers, bread, chips, lunch meat, peanut butter, jelly, nuts, lemonade mix, vodka, and beer. We are normally in a DVC villa so we have them buy a couple frozen pizzas for late night snacks too. The savings in alcohol alone is worth the trouble.

When was the last time you used Wegoshop? Last October they insisted they were unable to deliver directly to our BCV Villa. They wanted me to meet them at a specific time and place to accept delivery. After years using them, I switched to Garden Grocer. The customer service from them was truly awful last year. I was very pleased with Garden Grocer

Beer and wine is all you need. OK then maybe some fresh fruit. Breakfast bars. Gallon of milk. We always get a Styrofoam cooler for 7 bucks too. This keeps all the beer and wine cold. Those fridges some don't do the job.

I read the tip here, and was glad I ordered pump liquid hand soap in my Garden Grocer order. Random, but feels and cleans better than the bar soap for your hands in the resorts (especially for kids). If you're already placing an order it's a good add on.

It has been about 2 years since I used them. But my sister used them at AKV this July. She said they went right to the room. But you have to be there when they arrive. I don't mind meeting them at the front of the resort. We will have 4 adults just enjoying the pool the first day. So it should work out fine. But I can tell you that I will tip a lot more if they bring it to the room. I just really want to order exactly what I want. No generic lotion or toiletries for me! Where did they make you meet them? Could you meet them at the door to the villas? Or did you have to go to the lobby?

I totally understand your feelings. The ability to create my own list was exactly why I LOVED wegoshop for 9 visits. I always recommended them too. I agree they always delivered right to my Villa and I met them but it was perfect. But my experience last October was awful. They insisted they could not, and had nnot, delivered to my villa. I was dealing with Amy Peck, the owners, husband, and he was rude. I can not say for certain where they wanted to meet me as I decided to switch vendors. But it was not convenient.
