We're heading out to the Land for Memorial Day weekend 2016 and are going to spend 5 nights at VGC. Since we'll have access to a kitchenette, we'd like some sundries. (soda, granola bars, microwaveable oatmeal, etc...). Where's the best place to get that? Is there a grocery delivery service comparable to
Garden Grocer or WeGoShop in FL?

Thanks!!

I was there 2 weeks ago. I was going to order from Von's but the minimum order was $49. There was only 2 of us so we didn't have that much. We had a rental car so we drove to Walmart Neighborhood Market nearby and got what we needed.

The Vons.com delivery service is great - http://shop.safeway.com/ecom/home?brandid=2. The first delivery is usually free, although you do have to order the $49 minimum that DebbieB mentioned. Not only can you order the items you mentioned, but also alcohol, baked goods (like, for example, if you're celebrating a birthday or special occasion and want cake or cupcakes), frozen foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, cooked food from the deli, medicines, big cases of water, etc. Anything you could want from a grocery store, you can get from Vons.com. It might be worth it to order for 5 nights.

on the ART route straight up Harbor is a target.. it is within walking distance.. but not with a big load of groceries..
also along Katella is a cheap grocery store.. again the ART or local bus.. or taxi should cost round $ 10

I forgot to say that I recall someone recently mentioning on this forum that they were going to order from Amazon and have it delivered (is the grocery division of Amazon called Amazon Fresh, or something else?). Apparently that option was going to work better for some reason or another. So, that is another option for you. I still think Vons is the way to go, and people on this forum have been ordering from them for years (to have the items delivered to their hotels), but it's good to have a range of options to see what might work best for you.

For a quick grocery run, there is a 24/7 CVS on the south corner of Katella and Harbor (a variety of groceries, dairy, and sundries), a 7-11 on the north corner of Harbor and Katella, and an ABC Mart just north of that. Very convenient to have those 3 so close together. And in case anyone is looking for half and half, the ABC Mart is the only one of those 3 that carries it.

It is Amazon Fresh, but you have to have a membership with them (I don't think they are still doing the free 90 days anymore but not 100% sure) which costs $300 a year. IIRC the person who was going to do that was from one of the other markets that Amazon Fresh services (Seattle maybe) so they had an account. I'm pretty sure Amazon Fresh does deliver to that area as I am about 5 min away from DLR and get Amazon Fresh deliveries.

If you are an Amazon Prime member you can order from Prime Pantry on Amazon.
I'm doing that for our trip and having it delivered to the hotel.
I'm ordering Iced tea and some snack items.

We love Von's delivery to GCH. They refrigerate your items and have a one hour window delivery time. We get water and snacks and fresh fruit. We always get it on our trips - the Walmart is pretty gross. There is a Target, but I like to have items waiting for us when we arrive and don't have to travel to the store.
