grocery delivery

Has anybody from the UK ordered from Garden Grocer online and had it delivered to their room? If so was it delivered before you arrived? How did you find the service when ordering from overseas?

We used GG for the first time in November and it was great. They will not deliver to the room unless you have already arrived but they leave the order with bell services but you do choose your own delivery time.

We stayed at BWV and it was no problem. I did fax the resort to let them know the order would be coming though. Bell services put all our cold stuff in a fridge until we collected it on our arrival.

It was great for drinks, breakfast stuff and snacks and they lasted us the full 3 weeks we were there - much easier on the wallet

Just one thing I have fogotten to mention, when you register for the first time we had to call GG as the website din't recognise a Uk address. It was no problem and once they had registered us we ordered online without any hassle.

We used gardengrocer for the 1st time in september and we had no problems at all. Our flight was delayed so we hadn't checked in when it arrived but it was no problem. We were staying in the cabins at FW and all our groceries had been put away in the cabin. I presume it was bell services but they had put all the frozen and chilled away, even put the water in the fridge . It was great being able to give the kids breakfast in the morning while we were geting ready and it saved us so much money.

As a pp said it doesn't recognise UK addresses but I just emailed them and they told me to put down my own address but with Florida for the state (I think) It worked anyway and I never needed to phone them.

You pay by credit card and the money is taken when you order not when it is delivered.

You can also request alcohol just write a message in the notes at the bottom but you must be there to receive it so that they confirm you are old enough to buy it. Bell services can't sign for it in this case

What a great idea. I hadn't thought of arranging shopping to be delivered to our villa.

Will have to investigate. We are hiring a villa in Davenport - any suggestions about on-line grocery stores to use?
