We will be staying at VWL in December, how exactly does the grocery delivery work. We are flying in and are taking the DME to the hotel, no car. I'm guessing you call ahead and pay by cc, where do you find the # and are there more that one choice, who do you chose. Any info. Thanks, Dena

Take a look at the GardenGrocer and WeGoShop web sites.

We have used Garden Grocer and have had great experiences. Go to one of the sites that Mike suggested, put your order in (it's all simple and self explanatory), pay with cc. If you are not at your resort when delivery is made, bell services will hold it for you, they will keep food in freezer/fridge for you. When you get into your room, call bell services and they will bring it to you. Simple and painless!!

We used gardengrocer on our last trip. They were great. You can also buy items that are not on list. Just write down the items in the special request box- you can also confirm by phone. We were able to get some sugar free products and also beer. :goodvibes

You should pay with a credit card (as was stated above) in advance if you want the groceries to be left with Bell Services. If you are paying upon delivery, obviously you'll need to be there when they deliver.

Isn't gardengrocer expensive to anyone else but me? I haven't looked at wego shop yet.

We used gardengrocer.com in July and again this Febraury. I thought the prices were fairly reasonable. We spend around $50 and it saves on water, milk, breakfast foods, snacks and beer. The resort gift shops will have these things but you will pay quite a bit more for them. It's very convenient and easy. Before we used Magical Express we always did a grocery stop with a town car service. Since Magical Express is free and we spend the same amount as we did with the grocery stop, we actually come out ahead. How cool is that!:cool1:

I haven't used either ...yet, but also think that GG's prices seem marked up. They are apparently building their fee into the price of the groceries. I think the delivery is free after $200 and only $12 if you spend under $200.

I like WeGoShop's fee structure better. They have a fee for delivery plus actual cost of groceries that you list from what ever store you choose. Seems much more upfront and perhaps cheaper. Their web site leaves something to be desired, but their service has gotten good reviews. GG website is beautiful and so easy to pick and choose the food, but there have been a handful of unhappy reports (of course out of many many happy ones). In either case, you are hiring just a couple people to buy and deliver your food and either will save you money over eating at Disney!

WeGoShops rates...
Shop and Delivery Rates:

Grocery total up to $100.00 = $17.00 shop & delivery fee
Grocery total between $100.00 - $200.00 = $22.00 shop & delivery fee
Grocery total between $200.00 - $300.00 = $32.00 shop & delivery fee
Grocery total over $300.00 = 12% of grocery total shop & delivery fee

*Please Note: The above rates and fees apply to local residents and vacationers staying inside of Disney World Resorts and are cash / check discount prices. Please add an additional 3% of grocery total for any other payment option. The shop & delivery fee is one fee, there is not a seperate shop fee and a seperate delivery fee.
