Hi all, I'm a longtime lurker with a question. We (me, dh, dd8, ds5 and the inlaws) are headed to POR 9/25-10/3. I know I can order from gardengrocer and have them deliver to the resort. Question is, what do they do with the order when it gets to the resort? I'd like to order a few refrigerated things like milk and oj, will they refrigerate it or leave it sitting out? Also, when should I have it delivered? We arrive at MCO at 11:30am and are taking ME to the resort. Can I schedule it to be delivered that day? Can you request a specific time frame?

I'm so excited! Less than 6 weeks away!

WE used them 1st week in August and it worked out wonderful. I had them deliver it two hours after we got there. You can give them time frame. Unfortunately our rooms were not ready for 6 hours after we got there. They delivered food to hotel and hotel kept cold things cold. We were not avaliable to be notified when it arrived. When we were taken to our room, our luggage and food delivery was on the cart. It was great.

Ditto...for us too! Worked perfectly! :goodvibes

With Garden Grocer, you don't have to schedule a time at all. You can ask that it just be delivered "whenever," and that they should just deliver it to Bell Services rather than attempt to deliver it to your room. Bell Services will store it all and even keep the cold stuff cold. They'll leave a message on your room phone, and when you're good and ready you call them back and they'll deliver it to your room.

Gooding's (www.goodings.com) ONLY operates like that. They only deliver to Bell Services, you can't arrange for them to deliver to you in your room no matter how much you try. To me, that makes it very convenient, because you're not spending your vacation time waiting for someone to show up and being concerned about what you'll miss out on if they show up late.

That makes perfect sense. I didn't want to request a specific time, I just wanted to know if I should request afternoon delivery since we'd be arriving in the afternoon rather than morning. Now that I know Bell Services will keep it cold and how the process works I'm good to go! Thanks again!

we used goodings.com in our 2005 trip - it was great
they even deliver disney balloons etc., For us it really made the trip.
We showed up at our resort (POR) and had a message on our phone that a delivery was waiting for us...the front desk then delivered to our room for us!

All the items on our list were delivered (except the umbrella strollers we asked for but they told us the day before they were out)
