We will be getting to Old Key West late at night June 21st, most likely early morning Sunday via Magical Express. I would love to have groceries for use the next morning.
Do you think it would be OK to have one of the grocery delivery services deliver on Saterday and have the hotel hold them for us, or should I have them delivered on Sunday?

Any advice would be helpful!

Hey - we used Disney's grocery service in March and arrived in our room after midnight. The food was in our room and fridge when we arrived!

Hope that helps.

Definitely have them delivered to your resort on Saturday. They will hold the stuff for you, and even keep the cold stuff cold.

If you do it this way, you have everything already. If you were going to get breakfast foods, for example, you will already have them when you wake up in the morning.

We landed around 10:00 p.m., got to POFQ via DME around 11:00 p.m. (56 minutes after leaving the plane). When we got to the room, we called Bell Services for our grocery delivery, and they were at our door within 5 minutes!

Thanks for the advice!

I would be okay with room temp products being shipped to the resort via garden grocer or competitor, but it would scare the heck out of me wondering if the refrigerated items were taken care of in a timely manner by the bell services at the resort(milk & butter come to mind).

When the resort holds your groceries for you can you use the Bell-Hops to deliver the groceries to your room, with a nice tip?

On our last trip to the VWL we arrived well after our grocery delivery. All the cold stuff was kept in a fridge and brought up to the room with our luggage.

They've been doing this for years, and honestly, I've never read a complaint.

Just me being paranoid. How would you know until it is too late and you got sick from eating something that got spoiled?
I'm truly not being sarcastic or angry when I say this ...

The same could be said for every refrigerated product you buy at your home supermarket, and every ingredient in every meal you eat at any restaurant.

What is the price of this service and how do you go about getting the service? thanks!

My point is that if bell services are really busy, is it possible that your refrigerated goods get left out in the 90 degree heat for an extended period of time. If you are okay with it, go right ahead. I'm just stating that I wouldn't do it.

To each their own.;)
