Grocery Delivery Vons/Pavillons

We are staying at GC and would like groceries delivered. Do you choose you will be there to receive the groceries or do you put leave them at doorstep. I know that the staff will receive them and put them in the fridge until we call for them correct?

I know its a strange question but maybe someone who ordered recently can tell me the appropriate protocol for ordering correctly.

Also, there is a slot to include my phone number. Is it more appropriate to meet them in person and tip?

We have used Von's a number of times and have always had them deliver to bell services. Typically we get the delivery on our arrival day so depending on flights we are usually not there when it arrives.

We just did this at the DLH and I can't imagine it's that different? Ours were delivered to the bell desk and they called to let me know they had arrived. We went and picked them up right away but they would have held them for me in refrigeration if we'd needed them to. I put a note on the order, I used Instacart (which was Von's), to leave with the bell desk. It worked seamlessly.

If you ordered alcohol. You have to be there!

We used them in November to deliver to GCH and the driver texted from the lobby (included alcohol so had to sign). I met him and he brought the order up to our room - when I offered a tip, he refused and said they were not allowed to accept them.
