Grocery delivery to BLT?

Ok, I've decided to have some groceries delivered to BLT. I've been spoiled since my DS's family moved to the Tampa area, they always come see me at least for a bit, so I get groceries delivered and see family for free! This time will be different, family is coming from auto train a few days after I get there, they will be dropping off a DGS with DH & myself, so I want to have things ready, so the rest of the family can go home, rest, prepare for our family cruise that will start later in the week. This has been a crazy summer for Woz family traveling! I was with the family for a week+ in Cape May NJ, now they are in Boston.

OK...just in a studio at BLT. Want stuff from Publix because I know what they have. I've only had 1 experience with grocery delivery years ago, & it was not good.

Will either delivery service bring the food up to BLT, or will it have to go through the Contemporary bell services? I am solo for the first night, and can be in my villa during what I hope are evening delivery hours. Do either of the delivery services talk to you? Or is it all done via Internet forms? I like to talk to someone.

I hope it's easy & that it works. I looked up a single day car rental, and cost is pretty much a wash.

Suggestions for making it work? I have an order of roughly $50.

If you want stuff from Publix I think www.wegoshop.com is your only option since Garden Grocer does not go specific places. I know from getting GG delivered, it is left with Bell Services when it is delivered. Bell service holds it and refrigerates what needs to be. When you are in your room, call down to Bell Service and they will bring it up to you!

Oh, that's good to know, about Publix. During this past winter, I had my car with me, and got to know the Publix store and what they sell, like Community Coffee!

FWIW, my experience with Garden Grocer has been so\so. I have ordered from them on 4 different occasions and 2 of those have had mistakes which were corrected but were a pain. They forgot items each time and when you call they can never get it fixed that day, no matter how early you call. The reason I used them again after the first mess-up (which was my first order, btw) was because Wego has a really hard to use online form and GG's is very easy. This last time I ordered I decided I am going to go to with Wego using my invoice from GG as my list. The only negative thing I have every heard about Wego is their ordering system online is a pain but their service is excellent. We shall see...

The gal at WEGO Shop met me at the entrance to BLT. She accompanied to our villa and unpacked the groceries while comparing it to my list. I have used them twice, each time received a phone call from her while she was shopping to clarify a couple items. Love the service.

Thank you. Yes, I decided that delivery would be best & I picked a time in late afternoon, by which I should be in the villa!

I did get a call, so I feel better, connecting. Time had to be tweaked but it's good!. I am so looking forward to this time alone, with DH, then with DGS, and finally the cruise with everyone!

We just got back from BLT Monday night, and we used Garden Grocer. They were awesome! We had 16 of us in two different two bedroom villas, so we had two different grocery orders. They didn't make any mistakes, and they delivered our groceries to bell service earlier than we had anticipated. We both received messages from Garden Grocer that our groceries had been left with bell services. Once our rooms were ready, we called bell services, and they brought our groceries right up to our room. I will definitely do this again in the future. Have a great trip!
