Grocery delivery services

This is our first time going to Disney, is the grocery delivery the best way to go, or is there any grocery stores nearby or on site?

There are plenty of Publix grocery stores in the area, just mapquest it from your resort to find the closest one. I am getting a grocery delivery not because we CAN'T go shopping ourselves (we will have a rental car). We would just rather not waste time on our vacation that could be better spent. The delivery charge is not that much and to me it is totally worth it.

No grocery stores on-site, unless you include the hotel gift shops that have just a tiny bit of "tourist groceries."

There are several supermarkets not terribly far away, but if you don't have a rental car, the taxi fares to and from such a store would be MUCH more money than the delivery fee.

bzzybee13 shares my sense of priorities on vacation. I've never rented a car wile at Disney, but I rent a car many other places, and I would LOVE IT if there were grocery delivery services near some of my other vacation spots. I just hate the idea of delaying the start of my vacation or temporarily "stopping" my vacation to have to go grocery shopping. I know that in the grand scheme of things it's really no big deal, but once I go on vacation I just want to get there and soak in it ... I don't want to delay my arrival and I don't want to have to interrupt it even for a little bit.
