Grocery delivery from Vons

Hello - I was wondering if anyone has managed to order groceries from Vons grocery store, via their website, for delivery to their hotel - using an aussie credit card? The check out section on the Vons website asks for a US zip code, and when I rang Vons they told me that I need a US-credit card to order groceries for delivery, and they don't accept orders over the phone. But I've read some posts here which suggest that some people have been able to place orders using aussie cards? We won't have a car - and don't particularly want to start off our Disney holiday with grocery shopping!

Yes I have.

When i registered on the website, I used the hotel address as my address. I didn't mention anything about being Australian at all. I did use my aussie credit card to place the order and had no problems at all

Thanks for that information (I think it was your post I had read, by coincidence!). ... But can I ask you - when you entered your card details, for the billing address (and zip code) - did you put in your australian address and post code?

Just realised I hadn't replied to you.

I did one of two things with the billing address.

I either entered the hotel address, but I know 100% that I used the hotel address when I registered.

So I either just kept the hotel address or I entered my home PO Box. Sometimes when I register on a US website if it needs a zip code then I will either add a 0 before my aussie postcode or add a 0 at the end if they won't accept a 4 digit postcode.

I would have to log in to Von's to see what I did. I will try to do that in the next couple of days to see if I can see how I ordered.

I do know that my aussie visa was accepted without a problem

Not sure if you've already ordered, but if you register first, you might get an email for free delivery. Hojo's put our order inn the room, cold stuff in the fridge too, as we were at Disneyland

I just used our hotel address as the billing address. From memory I may have let our bank know we were going o/s so that the charge went through okay.
