Grocery Delivery at BCV

Has anyone tried the grocery delivery service at BCV or anywhere else? I was thinking about trying it since we won't have a rental car to go off property. Also, is there a store at BCV that sells groceries? I'm sure it's a lot of $$$ but I'm going to pack as much as I can from home and then get the cold/froz. items when we get there.

The store at the Beach Club does have some cold/frozen items for purchase, but nowhere near as many items as would be available from the local grocary stores. If you are packing stuff to bring with you and only need some essentials - milk, juice, etc - you should be fine. I think I even remember seeing cold cuts and bacon, eggs, etc.

You could check the websites for Publix or Winn Dixie to see if they offer any type of delivery service - or you could use the BCV grocery service...but you'll pay a premium for each.

The prices were comparable - even less in a few cases - than the Goodings grocery store at The Crossings just outside WDW.

I had read on a different board that someone had used the "WeGoShop" delivery service for a resort in WDW and thought it was great. I have never used this (or any other service for that matter) but remembered the name. Has any one else used them for delivery??

There is a grocery section in the BC gift shop. They had the basics, along with some frozen pizza (a basic in our house!! LOL). I didn't really compare prices, but was glad it was there. We had to go to a real grocery store because we had a toddler and needed lots of stuff. BTW, DH did go to Goodings and hid the receipt!!! LOL!! What can I say we were first timers.

Check out the Goodings website. The quality and selection are better at Goodings than at the store on property (but much more of course than the big supermarkets). Delivery from Goodings will run you $10 and there is a minumum order size of perhaps $50, but what you are paying for is the high quality and convenience.

Another option if you're coming in a towncar from MCO is to do a grocery stop at one of the big supermarkets. I believe Albertsons will let you fax in an order ahead of time (no add'l fee) and then you just pay for it when you get there, and it's all packed and ready to go.
