Hi all,

I am going to POR in April for my first ever Disney holiday - I am sooo excited!! I would like a load of bottled water for my stay as I do not want to drink the water from the taps/ fountains but am not hiring a car so am looking at having it delivered to the room. I literally only want lots of water (enough for 2 weeks) and maybe a couple of snacks... where is the best place to order from price wise considering the cost of the items and delivery?

Thanks! :)

I don't have all the answers here just kind of piggy backing your question. I have heard of Garden Grocers I believe , they deliver but there must be more.Very interested for my May trip "home"

garden grocer is who everyone tends to use but you have to have a minimum or $40 order with a $14.00 delivery fee. Keep in mind if you are staying at a convention resort at WDW there is another $10.00 handling fee.

YOu could order from Walmart, Costco, Staples and have it delivered.

Thanks for this - I am sure I won't be spending $40!! My other half will drink the water there so it is just me that needs it! I will check out Walmart, Costco and Staples - thanks!

What is a convention resort??

We used garden grocer on our last trip. We bought cans if juice, snacks, beer and all our toiletries and it was a great service.
Convention resorts are ones that have convention or business centres. The two I can think of Is the contemporary and coranado springs.

We used Garden grocer last year. Our children had lots of fun choosing snacks on their website before we left,we also ordered juice and yoghurts for breakfast. I ordered a gallon bottle of water and just kept on filling an empty bottle with that,it worked out tons cheaper. They delivered promptly, Yacht Club held it for me until we got back from the park and delivered it straight to our room.We will use them again next year :thumbsup2

Thanks all - don't think garden grocer is going to work as it is just me that needs water (only me and my partner going) and we have the counter service dining plan so don't really need many snacks! Will check out the other ideas though and if anyone else has any ideas of ones with no minimum delivery amount that would be great! Thanks :)

I have used garden grocer three times. Last time they only delivered two crates of water not three and it was never resolved. Okay every other time. Water is extortionate at Disney though so they may still be cheaper even with the minimum cost. It's worth doing the maths. If you buy your sun cream as well instead of in the UK and taking it with you, you might spend the minimum. I also only get water but get sun cream and toiletries and that tends to get me to the price bracket and overall saves me money and weight in the luggage. Then again we are buying toiletries for 4.

So I worked it out! As an example of the above suggestion re Garden Grocer :-

24 bottles (24 oz) water $12.60
2 bottles sun block $22
Shampoo $5.69
Conditioner $5.29
Body wash $8.49
Washing detergent $6.99
Fabric softener $4.99

Total = $66.05

Plus your deliver fee of $14 but I reckon you make that back on the water and sun cream alone.

Even though GG screwed up my last order I will probably use them again.

Not sure if it's something you would want to consider but could you perhaps get the boat to downtown Disney as I believe there is a shop just outside within walking distance, (Hess Gas station?) you could get your water then a taxi back?

You can walk to the Hess Gas station from Beach/Yacht Club.

I have this in my notes for my stay, thought I read there was a shop near downtown Disney too, sorry for the confusion!

There might be, I just don't know about it!

What sort of things do they sell?
I just want to get some things for breakfast: bagels orange juice, sausages bacon milk and bottled water(maybe a few buds:lmao:)
We are at WLV so I presume wld have to go to MK then bus to beach yacht club:confused3 Where is it from there scooby?

I dont really need enough to warrent garden Grocer and I thought the first night arrival would be a good time to have a little outing.

Definitely beer and water. I can't remember other stuff as it was beer and water I was after! Get to the Board Walk and find the car parks. Walk to the end of them and its kind of across the road from there. Sorry bit misleading saying B/Y Club, that's just where I was staying.

Sorry I also meant to say. You can see it on Apple maps to give yourself an idea.

There is Hess across from DTD marketplace and Boardwalk. DTD is easy from most resorts except the BW/BC/YC/Swan/Dolphin.

The convention resorts don't charge for groceries as these go to bell services only packages. Convention resorts are:
Contemporary
Grand Floridian
Yacht & Beach
Boardwalk (I think)
Coronado Springs

I'm not sure what you mean can you explain please? I have had GG deliveries at POR and POFQ (and Beach Club). I had to pay the GG delivery charge for all if them but nothing at any resort. Bell Services at all the resorts held them. I tipped the person who delivered them to my room? Thanks.
