MN Vikings Fan I received an envie today. You spoil me! :goodvibes Thank you for being such a GREAT buddy.

You are welcome! Think of it as an early birthday present! :dance3:

I received an envie today from TinaShaver~thank you. I've gone through it and will be mailing you another one tomorrow or Wednesday, DisneyJan.

No envelopes went out here today :sad2::headache:

My idiot neighbors forgot to put their car into park, it rolled down their driveway across my yard and into my foundation.:mad::mad: So this afternoon was spent being very angry and trying to figure out what to do first.

I will try my best to get my envelopes out later this week. I'm really sorry but I have to deal with this first. Promise to send out a nice big envelope to make up for it :thumbsup2

I use 2" mailing tape. One strip all the way across and around the top and one strip all the way across and around the bottom of the envie. I get as close to the edge as possible.

I also put a sheet of computer paper around the coupons before putting them in the envie.

I usually don't have to do any of the above for a .44 envie. A .61 cent envie at the very least gets wrapped in the computer paper. Anything above .61 (and sometimes .61) gets reinforced with tape.

Also, if you go to the post office you can request a First-Class Mail Shape-Based Pricing Template which has a slot that your envie MUST fit through easily (no pushing) for it to qualify as a letter. If it does not fit then it is priced as the next larger shape. I also use a scale.

I have found that it is cheaper to mail out two .61 cent envies then to go up to the next size. It is VERY confusing on how they price now. It also can not be "lumpy".:confused3 So I try to spread out the coupons as flat as I can and if it under two ounces and fits (easily)through the slot then it is priced at .61.

IF you have these two tools (scale and template) you can mail from home without having to go to the post office.;) Oh, and stamps.:lmao:

Really the MOST important thing is to have a buddy that will let you know if she is receiving the envie with tears or postage due. It lets you know if you need to adjust your mailing system. Good luck and welcome to the the train.:goodvibes
Thank you for the advice. I will use for future mailings because I went to the PO today and they are just rude people. Do not want to have to deal with them again. Did you have to pay for this template??

Very lucky. They would not tape my envie but did offer me my own USPS tape at a nice price tag. Actually this PO has a reputation of not being nice to people so I wont be back.

is it ok to ask for a certain coupon still ?
Sure...what the heck.

Hi Corinna, Glad you got them, but I mailed you 4!! Hopefully the fourth one is there by now!!
I did end up getting 4, the last one must have stopped along the way. Actually, the last one had postage due on it, but my mailman is pretty good, he will leave me the envie with a little envie to stick money into. It was only .17 cents due, so no biggie.

You are so sweet wishing me a happy birthday 4 months, 2 weeks and 2 days EARLY! :lmao:
Oh boy....Jan, remember what I said about Rosie, we just smile and wave, smile and wave, nod & agree, nod & agree....heeeheee :lmao:

Dznybound~sent a big one your way today. :thumbsup2

Free of charge. Try to find another post office. I have some really nice people at my post office and I worry that some may be laid off with the new cuts. Sending you a PM.

:scared1:I'm so sorry about the postage due. Time to get 59c stamps again!!

How exciting...my first mailing!

Wait until you get your first envie full of coupons. THAT's exciting!!:cool1:

I had to check out your vow renewal thread and I'm hooked. I'm a "planner" too and already saving for when Disney has a ship permanently docked in California (2010 or 2011). Having sailed the Magic twice I can't wait to start a cruise countdown.

You have a beautiful family and I will enjoy "riding along" on your vow renewal countdown.

Welcome to the coupon train!:goodvibes
