avojeo- I have an envie set to go out to you tomorrow! :wizard:

Get ready, Helen. 4 envies are going out tomorrow! I have an awesome sender and I bought a lot of papers last week. They'll be lots of multiples. I hope you can use some!

is it ok to ask for a certain coupon still ?

mskayjay - I hit coupon paydirt today! One of my friends who usually saves me her coupons has been busy this summer with her newborn. She stopped by today with a HUGE stack of coupons. I've been cutting them up for about 4 hours now. Hopefully I get them in the mail either Monday or Tuesday, as some of them expire soon.

Jen

Nena~Thanks for the 3 envies!! :yay: I've gone thru 1, will go thru the rest later tonight while I'm watching Big Brother!! Anyone else have this same summer addiction as me? :rolleyes1

Hi Corinna, Glad you got them, but I mailed you 4!! Hopefully the fourth one is there by now!!

Quick question, I have been reading some of the posts about taping the envie. How do ya tape the envie, all over or just the edges?? Please let me know so my rider gets all of the coupons.

GARYDEB-working on putting your envie together today. Might go out today, but more likely tomorrow will be when I can get to the PO.

Quick question, I have been reading some of the posts about taping the envie. How do ya tape the envie, all over or just the edges?? Please let me know so my rider gets all of the coupons.

I use 2" mailing tape. One strip all the way across and around the top and one strip all the way across and around the bottom of the envie. I get as close to the edge as possible.

I also put a sheet of computer paper around the coupons before putting them in the envie.

I usually don't have to do any of the above for a .44 envie. A .61 cent envie at the very least gets wrapped in the computer paper. Anything above .61 (and sometimes .61) gets reinforced with tape.

Also, if you go to the post office you can request a First-Class Mail Shape-Based Pricing Template which has a slot that your envie MUST fit through easily (no pushing) for it to qualify as a letter. If it does not fit then it is priced as the next larger shape. I also use a scale.

I have found that it is cheaper to mail out two .61 cent envies then to go up to the next size. It is VERY confusing on how they price now. It also can not be "lumpy".:confused3 So I try to spread out the coupons as flat as I can and if it under two ounces and fits (easily)through the slot then it is priced at .61.

IF you have these two tools (scale and template) you can mail from home without having to go to the post office.;) Oh, and stamps.:lmao:

Really the MOST important thing is to have a buddy that will let you know if she is receiving the envie with tears or postage due. It lets you know if you need to adjust your mailing system. Good luck and welcome to the the train.:goodvibes
