Grocery Coupon Train

Your HUGE envie went out today, I tried to send on Friday, but it was too thick, had to go to work so I just combined it with what I was sending for today.

vegasnative - I hope that if I have been doing something wrong you would call me on it, otherwise I'll go right on doing what I'm doing. I try to keep out of trouble don't ya know. I have no issues with my sender, love the coupons she sends and they are ALWAYS on time.

Wow....okay I can understand the intent of limiting the extra envelopes and such but if you purchase "extras" I think folks should do what they choose with those. I mean seriously, I just won an auction from another site I frequent that had over 50 inserts in it. Those were not purchased for here and I did pull some things out for certain people. I don't think anyone who has ever received from me can complain about what they get from me. Jen is and has always been a fabulous sender and I add so much as well.

It seems like there is one cluster of folks who always have issues and I feel so badly for them. I don't know that there is a simple answer to all of this. Maybe we should just make the train smaller and boot the folks who consistently cause problems with issues like this?????

I need to think about this for a few days......

Doreen, I'm sure you know the coupons stunk this week. Not sure if I'll be picking up extras and work is nutso. I get layed off in 4 weeks and things will be much calmer for a while. I hope you can bear with me.

Karen, you do not need to pick up extras. Do not ever feel that you need to do that. You sent me so many in the past 2 weeks that it took DH & I hours to go thru LOVED IT!!! I'm not used to that!! I will bear with you. You are a great sender & I would never complain.

Corinna-I will abide by the rules & want to thank you for taking A LOT of time to run this train. You do a great job. Truthfully I do not take the time to send wishlist coupons. Every coupon I do not keep goes to my buddy & my buddy only. I usually do not have extras to send to others (although now that Karen is my sender that may be different) But I understand that it takes good coupons away from your buddy. What if a lot of us sent for example I like to get Keebler cookie coupons & 10 of you sent to me-maybe some of your buddies would use them also. I totally get it & will keep sending to my buddy only.

Just wanted to chime in here as well.

My sender goes above and beyond the "call of duty" each and every week with coupons for me. Honestly, I look at the postage on these envelopes and feel bad that she spends so much. I could not ask for a better sender. Thank you Hhartill!

In return, I send my receiver a BIG brown envelope every week. I am happy to do it and hope she finds lots of good ones.

I am quilty of sending wishlist envelopes to Rosie once in a while. She has been so kind to send me pet food coupons many times. Thank you Rosie!

That said, I am very appreciative for all that Corinna does and I am very happy to be a part of this train. In other words....I won't send out any more wish list envelopes....

I don't know if I mentioned it, but I got 2 envies last week.

I also got one today.

I am and have always been thankful to the people who took the time to send me wishlist envies. I think a lot of coupons are regional, so sometimes another region would get coupons that I wouldn't get.

With that being said, I barely have time to get my regular envie out, much less go through wish lists and I apologize if I didn't reciprocate very well.

I love getting multiples of coupons on items I use. Publix runs B1G1 free and you can use a coupon on each item so the savings are tremendous. Any coupons that I don't use are passed on to the next person.

I think Corinna has done a fabulous job running this train. I know she spends a lot of time trying to keep everyone on track. I will follow whatever rules that she feels are necessary to keep the train running smoothly.

My intention is not to stir the pot, but....when we signed up, we not only agreed to send to our coupon buddy, but we also agreed to post when we sent and received envies. I know that we all have hectic lives, but like someone said earlier we should ask ourselves if we have enough time to be on this train. It only takes a few minutes to post. Yet, I havent heard from my buddy in weeks.

Imagine...if we all got on the train and no one communicated each stop. How would we know when to get off? I guess we could look out the window the whole ride in anticipation waiting for a sign. I guess that's what I do on the train, I stare at the computer screen, reading all the posts, wondering if my coupon buddy will send me a signal that everything is on track.

I have sent my coupons to along4theride, nena and willis.
I have always sent stuffed envelopes to my train rider, hopefully with enough variety. I have always liked this train but if I am doing something wrong I guess I need to rethink this. I am sorry for anyone who hasn't gotten what they thought they would out of this. I feel as though I have been slapped on the wrist right now. I guess my feelings are hurt and don't know what else to say.
