True but will they get there before they expire

I just foresee a lot of coupons expiring as they make there way around the train....maybe not but just a thought.
Wow....okay I can understand the intent of limiting the extra envelopes and such but if you purchase "extras" I think folks should do what they choose with those. I mean seriously, I just won an auction from another site I frequent that had over 50 inserts in it. Those were not purchased for here and I did pull some things out for certain people. I don't think anyone who has ever received from me can complain about what they get from me. Jen is and has always been a fabulous sender and I add so much as well.
It says, that you are required to purchase the Sunday newspaper each week, cut all coupons, of course keep the ones you will use and pass the rest on to your assigned buddy. I feel if everyone does this, eventually you will end up getting your wishlist items and really no one is getting short changed.
This is an important fact, each of us on the train are responsible for someone, and because of the multiple envies going out to multiple people from only 1 person, we are letting our main responsibility go, imo.
I think it is for the best, and if you
keep sending the coupons down the line, I think it will all even out eventually..meaning we will get our wishlist items at times and multiple copouns for items we use frequently.
I read many posts last night but had to sleep on it and think about it more before I posted. My knee jerk reactions to things aren't always the wisest things I've said or done.

Sorry I had to quote so many people, but I think everyone quoted here has made some valid points. It's just my opinion but I would like to keep the basics of the train with slight modifications if permitted. Remember this is just my opinion that I'm throwing out there for discussion. I don't make up the rules~that's Corinna's job and we will go by her final decision.
Most importantly, I think we need to personally examine and evaluate how fair we've been to our sender. Do we mail each week, communicate when envies are sent (and received), and send a nice variety of coupons to that person we're responsible to? If there are weeks we can't send due to illness, bad weather, family issues, vacation, etc. do we let our train partner know so she's not wondering what is going on. We really need to communicate with each other. If there's a problem, do you let your train partner know so it can be worked out or do you just grumble to yourself or feel sorry for yourself and complain to Corinna?
I think we also need to ask ourselves if we really have the time to be part of the coupon train? It takes a fair amount of time to clip, sort, organize, and get envies ready for our train partner and ourselves.
I agree with Willis that time will probably run out on many of those multiple coupons that are following the train route. It would be nice if what's on everyone's wish list would eventually reach her occasionally, but I just don't see it happening.
Could we compromise a little bit? Personally, I would like to see Corinna put the birthday list back up each month with any requests that person might have so that those of us who have EXTRAS and want to send the birthday person a card/coupons/online greeting may do so. Let's see if not having the request list up helps everyone get better coupons over the next few weeks/months. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't. It's sure worth a try if it helps.
Corinna is a wonderful train conductor who wants this to be a success for all of us, but she doesn't have a magic wand

that she can wave and make it all better. We all need to do our part to make this train work. As with all things, she will please some with this decision and not please others. It can't be easy.
ETA: I meant to mention that I also feel bad that requesters like Nena and Rosie can't request coupons from the group for medical condition necessities such as the Pedialyte for Nena's friend and Depends but I guess it has to be across the board for requests/wish list.
