It has taken a *grand total* of 9 months.....yes, long enough to have a baby....and I finally have a fully functioning kitchen all in one room!!!!!!!!!!

Lowe's delivered my refrigerator today and installed it and that is the final piece other than art work and prettying touches. Unreal.....the budget is so far gone it may as well not have existed, the timeline obviously shot to hell, and no, it does not look like I thought it would! lol It is very very nice but it seems so odd to see a fridge in there and my family room looks so weird without oneback there! roflmbo!!!!! I have to say a huge kudos to Lowes. We have had so many problems with products and things arriving damaged, etc and as their way of saying I'm sorry they knocked the price down on my fridge to a point of almost giving it to us free. They treated us sooooo much better than the local hardware own by a local family. so much for "support your local businesses". Phooey on that next time!

Anyways, I am because it is all over except for the bill paying!

The story behind my name?....Wow...glad you asked

I've been gardening my whole life~have a degree in horticulture....

I had great landscape beds around the house & loved to get out & work in them when I would get home from work (even after doing it for other people all day).
My husband thought the beds were beautiful....

well, after he passed away (@ age 38)...I had a hard time getting motivated & taking care of the landscapes...they grew up in weeds or the invasives took over...
it wasn't until I had started to heal from my loss that I could go out & start re-vamping the beds.
Therefore...gardengalb4 came about...I had been a gardengal before he died ...& now... I am again.

Goes w/ my mantra...you can do this, just keep moving.....which was my life in general....

Maybe I should change my name to: someone*came*knocking*on*my* door*gal....(Nah, that's too long) ...

several years later a friend in my support group told me

"you're not going to meet someone sitting at home...you have to go to dances, to bars, etc..
NO One Is going to Come Knockin On Your Door"
well...guess what?!

4 months later I am at home on my day off & there's someone knocking on my door (a guy I went to highschool w/) & he asked me out...
(I hadn't been on a date w/ anyone besides my husband for 24 years)

It all worked out great tho & the rest is.... history

Wow! I am so glad I asked although I had a wide range of emotions as I was reading. As you started explaining, it was really interesting but then it made me really sad because of your terrible loss, but by the end I was so happy for you. You are a very strong person with an amazing attitude, Gardengalb4! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful story with all of us. I do have a question? I took out all coupons with a 2/14 expiration date, as the envie might not arrive to Englishrose47 until next Wednesday or later. And I left in the envie the ones expiring 2/28. Is that okay?
