Hi ladies,
I'm just checking in. I've been pretty quiet here, but Dh just left yesterday for Germany. We aren't going with him because he is deploying from there so it doesn't make sense for us to move from our home just to be alone in an apartment. I've been battling some depression and anxiety because of it, but I'm trying really hard to work through it. Some days are better than others.
Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are ready for the New Year. Thanks for including me in your group.

Happy new year to you all!! Don't forget to put silver coins in your shoes tonight. It is my husbands tradition. It is suppose to bring good fortune to anyone who does it. We always give the girls silver half dollars and take the silver dollars for us. tee hee. Its a fun tradition that my girls get into even though they have grown up.

My husband does the fireworks at navy pier tonight, 2 shows. He says the pier is full of people braving the cold. brrrrrr....

I have Birthday envies tomail out but have been super busy !! Went in at 2 am and worked till after 2 pm to get all my paperwork done for EOM and EOY !! What a joy to have it done ! Now I can rest till tomorrow when I am making LaSagna !!

These are for you MagicMom. Take advantage of your DM being close enough to help out. DH and I are now living with DS because DDIL is deployed to Iraq for 6 months. DS is milirary also and is TDY more than he is home.

When DS was deployed to Iraq (2 times) he had a good friend (male) that kept in touch with DDIL to make sure she did not need anything.

The FRG for DDIl calls us about every 3 weeks so see if DH and I need anything. We are very grateful for them.

Remember it is alright to cry.

Five ?!?! That's awesome. I doubt we have that many here , the most I have ever seen here is 4 but fingers crossed.
